It feels surreal to have been coaching for not even a year and for one of my students to become a champion.

Every single one of you who showed up today gave it everything you had and showed mighty spirits. I’m so proud of all of you, but please stop making me cry 😂

This was the hardest challenge I’ve had in years. My body went into panic at 4k and I was retching at 6.5k but I carried on.

Knowing I had support there, that I was closing in on the finish line and that I had pushed past these barriers you can see the happiness on my face.
