By now most, if not all, of you have heard the news. There are no words to describe what we, the parents & the staff, feel about this heinous decision.
There has been a lot of talk about our school closing & that we only wanted Integration to keep the doors open.
If you've looked at these pictures below, you can see we have been banging the integration drum from as far back as 2011, as you can see it is'nt a lifeline its our life.
We want this because, we, as parents, feel our community needs & deserves it. We want to create a better future for our children. One were we can come out from under the dark & heavy burden of our past.
What I can tell you is that the school hit every bench mark needed to transform. Which is no easy task! Most schools don't even make it past that. We even out ranked other schools that got a YES.
Speaking on behalf of the parents, we can assure you we maybe down, but we are by no means out!
And to answer the question, yes! Yes we are the most integrated school in the country. Can you, our community help us prove it?

As our consultation period closes we can reflect upon the journey we've had.
It isnt an easy process to try for integration status, but it has been worth every step.
We have met some great people along the way. Some who have finished the process, some who have just started & some who are thinking of taking the first step. We've learnt a lot from you all.
It seemed only fitting we should finish our journey with the Integrated Education Fund comedy night. We got to have a great night with like minded people.
We would like to thank the ever funny Colin Murphy thank you for your time, it was a delight talking with you & thank you for supporting our journey to integrated status.
We would also like to thank the lovely Hope Street cast members, Kerri Quinn & Stephen Hagan. It was very nice to meet you both & thank you for supporting integrated education.
And not forgetting the ever patient, Andrew Norrie from Integrate My School. You & all the team who have helped & worked alongside us, we are ever so grateful. A thank you isn't quite enough.
It's fantastic work you do for schools like ours. The support you give is invaluable.

It's been a busy week here in St Anne's. The children have been celebrating the Queens 70th Jubilee in all sorts of ways. With fun activities, a Jubilee car boot sale & Rotary Club Art Competition to name but a few!
We are going to round off our Jubilee week with a summer fair. Why don't you come down & have some fun with us?
There's plenty of activities for everyone to do. Or even just take a seat, relax & watch the kids tackle our inflatable climbing wall with free fall slide. You'll get a chance to see our brilliant Jubilee Art & grab a bite to eat.
Come on down & see us tomorrow 1 - 4pm.
Hope to see you there!

St. Anne's Primary School, Donaghadee are delighted to announce that we are first time sponsors of the Donaghadee Sailing Club Regatta (DSC).
2022 has been an exciting year so far for both our school and DSC. St. Anne's celebrated our 90th birthday at the beginning of the year and this summer Donaghadee Sailing Club will be hosting its 50th Anniversary Regatta.
Both organisations have a long history of strong links within the community and many of our pupils have enjoyed the "Bright Nights Sailing" over the years with some becoming members and taking up this enjoyable sport.
Together, we are looking forward to a fantastic summer in Donaghadee both on and off the water!

We were very lucky to receive a visit from the Education Minister today. Minister McIlveen received a warm St. Anne’s welcome from our Principal John Hennessy, Chair of BoG Gillian McCollum, and parent representatives.
The Minister had a tour of the school, both staff and children had a chance to show why we are so special. The children gave Minister McIlveen a wonderful rendition of our school song, 'Together'.
We also had a great opportunity to engage with the Education Minister and show her just how far the school has come in the transformation process. She got to see how passionate we are about our school and why the journey is so worthwhile.
Thank you to Andrew Muir MLA for helping arrange this meeting. Also, a big thank you to and
