Its that time of year again, when the summer holidays are coming to an end.
I reopen for my early years children from tues/wed due to school not going back till Wednesday. I am happy if your regular day is Tuesday for you to come in (I will have some school children in as well).
You will be allotted your hours for the term and you will be receive an invoice every month with opening hours, hours used and hours remaining. Please note if you dont attend a day or two during term time you will lose your funded hours allocated to that day. It is your space that is funded for x amount of hours a week not your attendance.
Lunch will be charged out at £1.50 a day. Any hours over your funded hours will be charged out at £5 an hour per child.
Please ensure your child if needed has nappy wipes, and nappies in their bags. If your child is over 30 months can we please have pull ups and trousers that your child can pull up & down themselves as we will be trying to toilet train those that aren't out of nappies and are showing some interest in their toileting needs.
School children drop offs and pick ups will commence again from Wednesday and I will stick to usual days and times unless told otherwise. I have not increased any of my private rates and school children will still be £4 an hour per child. Again if your child is ill or not at school I will still charge unless I have had at least 12 hrs notice that your child will not be in. I will also only provide school children with a snack. If you require your child to have something more substantial then please send it in with your child. It needs to be something that doesn't require heating, cooking preparing. (I will store any foods appropriately whilst on my premises)
Upon arrival and collection please can all parents wait at the door and I will take your child/ren off you or give you your child/ren st the door.

Monthly Menu from september...

I have to follow Ofsteds new guidance on providing healthier foods with limited processed meat. Therefore crisps, biscuits, shop bought cakes, and ultra processed meats will not be available on a daily basis. I am not saying I will never give them these but they will be limited.

Breakfast for children that arrive before 7.45 will be toast ( butter, jam, peanut butter or marmite) or cereal (weetabix, choco hoops, Corn Flakes or porridge) there is no charge for breakfast.

10.30am. Choice from; Breadsticks, crackers, vegetables sticks, houmous, fruit, cheese. Will be served with cup of milk water or diluting squash. (no charge for all children present)

(WATER WILL BE AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES)

Lunch will be a protein, a carbohydrate and 2 vegetables

Cottage pie & veg
Pasta bolognese & veg
Fish fingers with mash & veg
Sausage mash & veg
Beef stew potatoes & veg
Macaroni cheese & veg
Chicken casserole
Roast dinner
Pasty & baked beans
Mild chicken curry
Lasagne & veg
Chicken risotto
Corned beef mash & beans
Sausage, potato wedges & beans
Jacket potatoes with cheese & beans
Tomato pasta chicken & veg
Chill con carne mild with rice.
Lunch will be charged out at £1.50 per child per day

You will be given a menu the week before to decide if your child wants the meal or you are going to provide a packed lunch.
All meals will be freshly prepared using quality meats and veg.

Dessert will be a choice of fruit, ice cream, jelly or piece of cake, a yogurt.

Milk & diluting squash will be given at meal and snack times if parents allow them.

Afternoon snack approx 3.40-4pm served to all children present will consist of 2 or 3 of the below
Fruit
Cheese
crackers,
Breadstick
Houmous
Vegetable sticks
Small Sausage roll. (no charge)

Children staying after 5.00pm will be offered a choice from
Sandwich (cheese, ham, or Jam)
Piece of cake/ flapjack at approx 4.45 to 5pm
Please note not everything will be offered everyday if will depend on availability.

I am aware some children have SEND or special dietary requirements.
I am happy to make meals dairy free, gluten free, or meat free where possible.
If your child eats a very limited diet please supply them with a packed lunch instead containing the foods they will eat. Thank you.

For school children please feel free to pack them what they will eat into their school bags. So that after school they can sit at the table and eat the provided snacks before I put the other children's snacks out.

The end of term is looming. I will close my holiday books next week so no more spaces will be available for the summer holidays
Please remember I am off august 15th to 22nd (sat to sat)
I am making some changes come September around the food I supply for all children and minimum times that children are present especially for school children.

I am also looking at having a downstairs cloakroom and air conditioning put in.

From September all children including school children will be collected off you at the doorstep and returned to you at the doorstep. This is so all changeovers are done in a calm manner. If you are going to be late or early please let me know before/ or so I can start getting your child ready to go home.

May half term will soon be upon us. I am fully booked the Tue Wed Thur and Fri. Monday is a bank holiday.
If your child wants to bring a packed lunch that is fine. I will supply a packed lunch type meal anyway. If the weather is going to be hot please ensure they have a water bottle, hat, and sunscreen same as they would for school please

My next holiday is the week beginning Mon August 17 I am off all week.
I am also off Monday the 31st August as this is a bank holiday.
Dobwalls children return to school Tuesday 2nd September 2026

I am then off October half term from Monday 26th Oct for the whole week.
If you want a space for a school child the week before aka the 19th 20 21st 22nd and 23rd Oct then you need to let me know ASAP as it is a normal working week for us and I am limiting it to no more than 4 school children a day.

So a new week is about to start and the weather looks like it's going to be kind again. Can children please come appropriately dressed for the weather and if possible please have a hat and sunscreen in their bags. We do have water play so a full change of clothing will be great too. ###

Alot of my spaces are already filled for May bank holiday and I have others on a waiting list for any spaces that are not filled. If you need May half term ( not the Monday as that's a bank holiday) then please let me know ASAP. Thank you. ( my regular early years children that normally attend school holiday are guaranteed their days). Thank you.

The new term starts Monday 20th April for EYFS and school children
(I have no additional spaces for children 13th to 20th April but if youve already booked and I've confirmed the space then you can come (food will be a packed lunch so sandwich (ham or cheese) crisps, a piece of fruit and a fromage frais) you are welcome to send your child their own food in should you require different.

I am closed for all children May 4th ( bank holiday)

I am closed for all children Monday May 25th ( bank holiday)

I am open May half term so 26th 27th 28th and 29th but please book your space (all eyfs children that attend all year are guaranteed their space) school children need to book as these spaces are on a first come basis and they are limited depending on how many EYFS children are present.

I have requested July 16th off as its my youngests graduation and parents that usually attend this day have been informed. Sophie will be working this day so I have to keep her ratio with children present. If you usually attend the Thursday then you will if you haven't already be told if you can have a space.

Last day of term is July 24th. I am happy to pick up the school children from school if early finish.

I am off Monday 17th August and reopen Monday 24th August

I am closed August 31st (bank holiday)

I am closed then October half term (date will be inserted here)
For school children that have 2 weeks school holiday I will take them the additional week until my spaces are full. (currently unknown what spaces i have)

I am closing 18.00, 23rd December until jan 2nd 2027

That's the last day of term folks. The summer term starts monday 20th April.
I am on holiday now till monday 13th. I will not be answering my phone for childcare places or spaces. I am open the week of the 13th to those that have already booked a space. I have no spaces left for this week. Sorry

I look forward to seeing everyone back, school children too from 20th April. If you wish to alter times and days that you usually have please send me a message and I'll ammend where I can from Mon 20th.
Please note you are charged for your space not your attendance so if you no longer want the space please let me know.
I am also looking at increasing my rates from September 2026 due to costings.
Have a lovely Easter, don't eat too much chocolate. Alcohol consumption for parents is permitted though.

Younger children... after Easter all children near to 3 and over 3 will be encouraged to use the potty/ toilet please can parents ensure they have pull ups not tabbed nappies and are able to remove their clothing themselves.
(I do not class a child as potty trained until they are able to ask for the potty, hold it until, on the potty and, able to take down and pull up their clothing afterwards) so hopefully all children being toilet trained should be dry the majority of the time by the summer. Thank you. ###
