It is our aim at Doagh preschool to provide all children with a stimulating early care and education

Doagh Preschool is a community based preschool which has been running for over 20 years. We cater for children aged 2 years 10 months to school aged children. We foster all aspects of children's development including empathy, problem solving, independence, language, PSE, physical development, self esteem and confidence. All activities and materials are developmentally appropriate and support activ

e learning for children. We strive to provide a welcoming environment and work diligently to accommodate the unique needs of every child.

🐞 Release Day Success! 🐞
We were so lucky to watch 9 beautiful ladybugs grow from tiny larvae into adults! Today, our preschoolers gently set them free into the big wide world (and our garden!). 🌸

Bye-bye, little ladybugs! Thank you for hanging out with us!

🎨 Big Paper, Big Imagination! ✨
Look at our talented little artists hard at work today! 🖌️
We rolled out giant banners on the floor for a massive collaborative process art session. Activities like this are so much more than just messy fun—they help our preschoolers develop:
Social Skills: Learning to share space, communicate, and create a masterpiece together.
Gross & Fine Motor Skills: Using big arm movements to paint, while practicing their pencil grips on the brushes.
Creative Expression: Exploring colors, textures, and sensory boundaries without strict rules.

🐛 From caterpillars to butterflies! 🦋
Our little learners gathered around today to watch the final stage of our butterfly project. There is nothing quite like seeing science come to life right before our eyes!

Our first preschool ladybug have officially hatched! The classroom is absolutely buzzing with excitement today. We love watching science come to life! Zoom in for a closer look.

🐛✨ LOOK WHO ARRIVED! ✨🦋
We have some incredibly exciting news from our classroom!
All five of our caterpillars have officially hatched into beautiful butterflies!
Our little learners have been absolutely fascinated watching the entire transformation. From tiny caterpillars to hanging chrysalises, and now to these gorgeous creatures, it has been amazing. We are taking great care of our new friends by feeding them fresh orange slices and sugar water.
Next up: we will be releasing them into the wild very soon!Check out the pictures to see our new friends up close! 📸👇

It is officially Transformation Central over here!
🐞🦋
Our ladybug larvae have officially hit the one-week mark and are wrapping up their crawling phase, while our butterflies just hardened into their chrysalises on the lid! Watching two completely different life cycles happen side-by-side is absolutely mind-blowing.

Next stop for everyone: Winged adults! 🦋 🐞 ✨

🐛 Look how much they’ve grown! 🐛

Our caterpillars have been very busy eating and growing! They are getting much bigger and have already started climbing to the top of their cup.Can you see them hanging there? That means they are almost ready to start their amazing transformation into butterflies! 🦋

🐞 Big news from our classroom! 🐞

We just welcomed some tiny new friends to our preschool! We’re using our Insect Lore Ladybug Land to watch these little larvae grow and transform.Over the next few weeks, our little learners will become junior entomologists, observing every stage of the ladybug life cycle. Stay tuned for updates as they grow!

Another lovely play session with Doagh Primary School P1 class today.
These sessions are a wonderful opportunity for the children to play together, build friendships, and grow in confidence in the school environment. 💕
