Diss High School

Diss High School Diss High is a friendly and popular school set on an attractive site at the north-eastern edge of the town.

We are a part of the Enrich Learning Trust, with an excellent record of both academic and sporting achievement. Our examination results are consistently above the county and national average and each year the majority of Sixth Form students take up places at university. We aim to offer as broad and diverse a curriculum as possible, including vocational subjects such as Construction and Travel and

Tourism, as well as Art, Design Technology, Music and Drama. Our facilities include a good library and resource centre, 2 drama studios, 2 music suites (with a state-of-the-art recording studio), three art studios, four workshops, eight laboratories, two cookery rooms, six computer rooms and a media editing suite.

Do you know someone who has just secured their GCSE, A-Level or a University place? Maybe you someone who needs help to learn new skills, continue with their education, or maybe funding for work-based uniforms or tools? Maybe you are a university student or apprentice and need financial support for books, equipment, tools or a workplace uniform?
The Taylor Hammond Trust is a Diss based charity, here to support you or anyone who attended Diss High or Diss Sixth Form and are aged under 25.
If you need help with funding and support for educational courses, workplace training, travel or even a career change, please get in touch.
Autumn applications for funding will be closing on Friday, 4th September 2026.

I would like to congratulate all of our students on their achievements. These results reflect not only their academic ability but also the commitment, resilience and determination they have shown throughout their studies.

We are proud of what this year group has accomplished and grateful to the staff, families and school staff who have supported them along the way.

Whether students are continuing into our Sixth Form or moving on to a different setting, we wish them every success and happiness as they take the next steps in their educational journey and look forward to seeing what they accomplish in the future.

Good luck to all students with their GCSE results today - we look forward to you collecting these between 9am - 11am but please be aware the Mount Street end of Walcot road is completely closed (passable via Uplands Way). We also have extensive building work going on at the school. If possible please use the side gate and please be mindful of not blocking residents driveways. Thank you.

Diss High School Sixth Form students and staff are celebrating today after receiving an impressive set of A-level and BTEC results, with many students securing places at top universities, prestigious apprenticeships, and exciting career pathways.

Significantly, this cohort achieved the strongest outcomes here since before the pandemic, reflecting the positive trajectory of our Sixth Form and the hard work of both students and staff. Not only were our Year 13 students academically successful, they also made an enormous contribution to school life, consistently proving themselves to be a friendly, supportive and outgoing community.

We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and wish them every success for the future. Photos will follow in our newsletter and have been shared with the Diss Express.

A lovely summer holiday morning preparing the new tutor time reading books for key stage 3. I'm so excited to hear what our students think about them in the new academic year!
