Hi to all the parents who have supported me in using my childcare services in the past and up until yesterday.
It has been through word of mouth that has allowed me build up my business to what it has become today and am truly thankful to you all for that.
It has been such a hard decision for me to make, to give up childminding, but have never been more sure that at my time in life and while I am fit and able to do so, have made the right decision to enjoy my life, family and to travel while we can.
I have loved caring for your child/ren, some of which started as young as 8 months and become part of the family in the days that your child attended. I’ve seen them off to school and with many, continued to care for them after school and through the holidays.
We have had some amazing days out and made memories that I and I’m
sure your children will cherish. I will miss it terribly but am aware also that this is now my time.
I can’t thank my daughters enough for their help in being my ‘assistants’ on our many days out….. and for ‘Dr Octopus’ (Chris)named by the boys as being a baddie in their Spider-Man world!😁
I can honestly say that I wouldn’t change what I have achieved for any other line of work. I have always loved working with children since leaving school, I’ve nannied, worked in settings and run a nursery but I have to say- the home from home environment and having children in my home has to be the best part. (Over 150)! The freedom to do what you please with my focus on allowing the children to be themselves, explore and develop in their own time with no pressure or tick boxes to meet. We loved the outdoors and being in nature.
We finished the week off with a trip to Baylam rare breeds farm.
Thank you all again- you have all been great…. And I will miss the children lots.
I won’t however miss Ofsted!😁
