If your little one cries during their first few sessions, please know you haven’t done anything wrong and neither have they.

New faces and surroundings can feel overwhelming. Our job isn’t to expect instant trust; it’s to earn it. 🤍

Sometimes, once you leave, your child can take in their surroundings, become curious and realise we might not actually be that bad after all! 😂

Every child settles differently, and we’ll offer patience, comfort and reassurance while they find their feet.

✨ They won’t be our first tears, and they certainly won’t be our last. ✨

Settling in takes time. Big feelings are welcome here, and little steps are progress. 🫶 🩵

⭐️ Wythenshaw Dance Events ⭐️

We had an amazing time competing on Saturday at the WDE Novice event! Thank you so much for having us again. Another, well run and friendly event for our dancers.

To my students, I honestly couldn’t be prouder of every single one of you. 🩵

Competition days aren’t always about trophies, medals or placing, they’re about how you respond when things don’t go exactly to plan. And this weekend, you showed so much resilience, strength and determination.
There were falls, disappointments and moments that didn’t go the way you hoped, but you picked yourselves back up, carried on and danced with so much heart. You danced beautifully, performed with confidence and showed exactly what it means to be a strong dancer.

Whether you placed or not, you should be incredibly proud of yourselves. You gave everything you had, supported each other and never gave up and as your teacher, I genuinely couldn’t have asked for more. 🥹🩵

A HUGE well done to you all! I am one very proud teacher. Keep believing in yourselves, keep working hard and keep dancing with that beautiful strength and passion. 🌟

Manchester Dance Festival

Another wonderful and inclusive competition from Katie and Kelly! Thank you for having us again.

Our first competition of the season, and what an incredible day we had! ✨

A huge well done to all of our wonderful students who danced yesterday. The majority of them are new competitors this season, and we couldn’t be prouder of how they rose to the challenge. Stepping out onto the floor and dancing a solo takes so much courage, confidence and determination, and every single one of them absolutely smashed it! 👏🏼🌟

💙 Remembering our beautiful Judy 💙

This week, we said our goodbyes and paid our respects to Judy, our lovely, always bubbly and beautiful Silver Swan. 🦢💙

Judy was a truly beautiful lady, both inside and out, with such a wonderful zest for life. She made our classes so much brighter, always had us laughing and we all loved hearing the stories of her fabulous holidays and adventures. Our classes simply won’t be the same without her, and we are absolutely devastated to have lost such a beautiful and special member of our dance community.

Judy had a wonderful way of making everyone feel special, valued and loved. She had a kindness and warmth that was completely genuine, and she made everyone around her feel like they mattered. If there is one thing Judy has taught us, it is that we should all be a little more like her kinder, more generous, more positive, more carefree and always ready to celebrate the people around us. 💙

Judy was always so proud of everyone’s accomplishments. She celebrated every achievement with us and was especially proud of us when we were given the opportunity to go to Disneyland Paris. She was so excited for us to attend and, in her own special way, she did her bit to help make it possible. Her belief in me and in these children was truly incredible and meant more than words can say. 💙

Judy believed in us, encouraged us and was always there cheering us on. Her kindness, generosity and infectious personality will stay with us forever, and we feel incredibly lucky to have shared so many wonderful moments with her.

We will miss you more than you’ll ever know, Judy.
Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our dance family, for believing in us, and for always making us feel special.
