Dirleton Market on the Green is always a great day, supporting local businesses and charities.

We’re so excited to share the first date for Dirleton Market on the Green in 2026!

Our first market of the year is set for Sunday 17th May on Dirleton Village Green (see the poster attached). As always, we’ll be featuring a wonderful array of local businesses, all offering delicious food and beautifully crafted items. We’re especially happy to have Beach Wheelchairs NB as our featured fundraiser, as they work hard to make the beach and coastline more accessible for everyone.

Dirleton Market on the Green is run by a fantastic group of volunteers, and we’re always looking for people to lend a hand. Whether you’re able to help set up the gazebos or act as a steward on the day, we’d love to hear from you. If you’re interested in volunteering, please email [email protected]. We’d be delighted to hear from you!

If you have a local business and you are interested in taking a stall, please visit dirletonmotg.org and complete the trader's application. Do please ensure you have read the information sheet before you submit your application.

Just over an hour to go and we will see you at the village hall 🎄

Lots of fun to be had this evening, special decorations made by the children, wreaths made by the adults (which sold out last year) and refreshments before the switching on of the Christmas lights .

Our Christmas Fair is this Friday evening 4pm - 6pm and lots of people walk up to the Green for the light switch on.

Please join us for games, stalls, raffle for an amazing hamper from Archerfield Walled Garden, wreaths and refreshments.

This was a huge success last year and we are so grateful for all support as this is one of our main fundraisers of the year.

Thanks also to Dirleton Good Neighbours, Dirleton Market on the Green and the Doris family for their support too 🎄

Fete & Games

We haven’t quite got our total raised yet but we would like to say a massive thanks to everyone who baked, served and bought all of the amazing treats we had on offer in the tea tent during the fete & games.

Everything looked and tasted great (we may have had to buy ourselves a cake or two to keep our sugar levels up whilst serving ) and customers gave such huge praise for all of the items they bought.

We are very grateful to all of our volunteers on the day, and to the organisers of F&G who spend a lot of time planning, coordinating, setting up and then taking everything back down.

It was a great day and the weather held out for most of it.

We will let you know how we raised when the figures are in.

🧁🧁 HOME BAKING DONATIONS 🧁🧁

With only a week to go until the Dirleton Fete & Games, it's almost time to get baking 🤩

Every year, hundreds of people attend the Fete & Games and that is a lot of cakes, tray bakes, scones and biscuits needed to serve on the day! We will happily accept shop bought too if baking isn’t your thing 😀

Dirleton Primary School volunteers run the tea tent serving drinks and lots of homemade goodies. All of the money raised in the tea tent goes back into the school so we are looking for lots and lots of home baking and other treats!

Baking can be dropped off on Saturday 21st June from 11am onwards, at the tea tent (village green)

With less than 3 weeks to the Fete & Games, all preparations are underway!

The parents of Dirleton Primary school are running the tea tent again this year and we would be grateful for any community support.

Any donations of baking would be greatly appreciated on the morning of the F&G, please label any potential allergens.
Baking can be dropped off at the tea tent on the village green from 11am.

If you felt able to help out serving at the tea tent for a few hours during the F&G please get in touch with Joanne Kitto or myself.

Many thanks for all your support, this is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we always have a great time at the Dirleton Fete & Games.
