We've only just realised how long it has been since our last post! Time flies when you're having fun 🥳

Here's a picture of our "Fabulous Four", enjoying some time outdoors - something we love at Little Fledglings!

Science Week!!

We started off the week with a visit to Magna Science Adventure Museum. Here we learnt all about the four elements - fire, air, water, and earth. 🔥💨💧🌎

Made our own kites by collecting sticks for the frames and decorating the kites with our favourite colours. Afterwards we enjoyed flying them whilst on a walk at Idle Valley Nature Reserve 🪁🎨

Took part in a science experiment using ice and water. This was a fantastic opportunity for language development, as well as improving our understanding of the world around us 🧊💦👄

Role played building a fire and spoke about how to keep safe when near fires. 🔥🦺

Visited Thrybergh Country Park where we discovered bug hotels, so spoke about the different habitats of animals. 🐛🐞

We can now confirm that we are now at full capacity until September 2025!

We are beyond grateful to every single person who has helped our new business to grow. We have been inundated with enquiries, so thank you for every share, like or comment. We really do appreciate it!

We have throughly enjoyed our first few months of being open and we can't wait to see what the future holds for Little Fledglings!

Last week, we celebrated World Book Day and Mother's Day!

We visited the library, where we signed the children up and then chose some books to borrow 📚📖

Made Mother's Day cards and had some lovely conversations explaining what we love about our amazing mummy's 🤗🥰

Read a range of different stories, including The Gruffalo, Commotion in the Ocean, and Supertato. Afterwards, we made Gruffalo crumble, made vegetable superheroes, and explored sea creatures during our water play 🥔🦞🥣

Visited Creswell Crags, where we really enjoyed exploring the caves! 🪨🚶‍♀️

During the last two weeks we've been learning about "transport and travel!"

We caught a double-decker bus to visit Clifton Park Museum! We explored the exciting local artefacts, rode a zebra, and attended Nelson's Cub Club. 🚍🦓🦁

Created different types of transport by exploring different shapes and stickers, junk modelling where our imaginations were able to run wild and role play by creating our own bus with chairs! 🚗🚚🚜

Rode a train and then walked along the canal, where we also saw narrow boats whilst geocaching. 🚉

And we've even had a ride on the supertram! 🚎

Next week, we will be celebrating Mother's Day and World Book Day - we already can't wait for the outfits and to read everyone's favourite books! 📚💕
