The most beautiful thing is that young children are completely natural learners. 💛 They are learning all day, every day, at their own pace and in their own way.

By providing our little ones with lots of time to play and explore—indoors and out—learning will unfold naturally.

That's exactly what we do with The Everything Preschool Bundle—daily 20-minute playful activities, time in nature, and time to rest and recharge.

Everything you need for a wholesome preschool—delivered to your door.

Take a peek through the link below to see if it is right for you, or reach out with your questions. I'm here to help 💛

"Childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can read, write, and count. It is a small window of time to learn and develop at the pace that is right for each individual child. Earlier is not better." —Magda Ge**er

Words don’t have to be said exactly to count as words! Thanks for this!

A gran is warning other families about the dangers of slush ice drinks after her 2-year-old granddaughter was hospitalised after drinking one.

Slushies contain glycerol to prevent the liquid freezing solid. In high quantities, especially to children under five, glycerol can cause shock, hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) and loss of consciousness.

Please do not give slushies to children under five. And, limit older children to just one slush.

Those 5 seconds can make a world of difference. 🤎

Do you follow the 5-second rule with your toddler? Not the rule you use when deciding if that fishy cracker that hit the floor is okay to eat...

I'm talking about the 5-second rule that supports a toddler's language development. 🤓

Little ones need additional time to turn thoughts into words, words into sentences, and for their mouths to say those sentences.

When your toddler is speaking, as tempting as it might be step in, try to let your toddler finish their own sentences.

When your little one is stumbling over a word, wait patiently while giving them eye contact, and count in your head for a full, slow five seconds before offering help.

You’ve got this, mama. And I’m here to help. Every week in Playful Days, I guide you through a fun activity that is secretly building those amazing language skills with your little one. 🙌

In Playful Days, each week follows a purposeful pattern:

🧠 Monday: Sensory Play
🎨 Tuesday: Crafts & Fine Motor Skills
💪 Wednesday: Gross Motor Activity
💬 Thursday: Playful Language Development
✨ Friday: Scavenger Hunts and Imaginative Play Invitations

A gentle structure, a lovely weekly rhythm, and beautiful memories for a lifetime 🥰

Let's build up a summer library list! Which books have your children loved? 📚☀️

Is your mind blown!? 🤯

By ensuring your child has a strong foundation in pre-reading skills, and by introducing the letters and sounds in a specific order, reading can flow naturally.

The trick is starting at the beginning, ensuring there are no gaps in the foundation, and going nice and slow. ✨

In How Wee Read, we break down learning to read into 4 sections:

📙 Section One (7 Lessons) Phonological Awareness
📙 Section Two (12 Lessons) Letters, Sounds, and Blending
📙 Section Three (5 Lessons) Special Rules
📙 Section Four (36 Lessons) Familiar Readers

Beautiful, playful, and simple. 🧡

This week was a big one over here for us, as we moved our oldest into her first apartment. I will be feeling all the feelings as we head towards Mother’s Day this month. ❤️
