The Arisaig skerries from above on a flat calm, sunny, warm, atmospheric, colourful, enjoyable, lazy, sunbathing kind of a day....

A relaxed sea kayaking trip to the Arisaig skerries on some big Spring tides. Time to land, let the sea drain away from around us and enjoy the sunshine, the scenery and the photography for a while.

The first day out in the kayaks for a long time...

Launching from Cromarty, we took time to pootle, bumble, take time, and enjoy the scenery....

Oh and there were dolphins as well... Perhaps 6 or 7 pods and we lost count of the number of time we saw broaches. My kayaking camera was on full zoom and there's been some heavy cropping of the dolphin shots, but they should still be be recognisable as dolphins from a distance.

Enjoy.... We certainly did!

I've been posting a photographic journey around Scotland for the last few days to remind us all of the fabulous scenery we have in Scotland.

We've been to hills, coasts, islands, historic features and now it's time to feature some sea kayaking and a new location.

Day 9 - enjoy panoramic views of Mousa in Shetland from summer 2015.
