Just to let you all know that our home is now on the market. This means that I shall be unable to open the nursery every day as have so much else to do! However, I still have loads of plants so if you want anything just let me know and I will meet you in the nursery whenever you want. Despite the weather I shall be open as of tomorrow. I have a lot of new plants which are coming along nicely and I have kept the prices as last year. I hope to see you soon. Don’t forget if you need any advice I’m more than happy to help.

I have been very lucky and had a lot of success with cuttings this season and now have lots of seeds coming through. So,assuming all survives whatever the weather the next few weeks bring, I should have a much greater selection of plants when I open again in early March. It’s all very exciting!

I shall be closing for this year on Friday 23rd August. This summer has been wonderful but it has been hard for the plants in pots and they are beginning to look rather sad however they will be fine once they are in the ground.

I am quite happy to meet anyone in the nursery at any time if you just give me a ring or email me at [email protected] to arrange a time. Otherwise I shall open the gate if I am working in there so if you are passing please feel free to pop in.

I shall open again in February or March depending on the weather.

Ribes sanguinium has been buzzing with bumble bees for the last few weeks. A good source of early nectar for them and an attractive early flowering plant.

At last it is getting warmer! I think the plants are about 3 or 4 weeks behind but I am sure they will catch up quickly.
