I can't believe my littlest angel is going to be 2 tomorrow wt actual!!?

Where did that time go?

It's been a whirlwind since the day I found out I was expecting again but I can't tell you how blessed I feel looking at these two amazing girls.

I'd convinced myself I'd never be able to have kids from having so much medication and treatments for my hideous eczema my whole life plus lorry loads of wine etc my whole growing up years! If only I'd known that I would have these two beauties I would of saved myself years of unnecessary worry!!

Even being pregnant I thought the worst and just couldn't believe I could be lucky enough to have an actual baby! Working with babies my whole career made me even more passionate about having my own.

Then it was worrying about SIDS and any disease or illness! Or that I'd get ill and leave my babies behind! Soooo negative and such a drain without being aware of these worrying thoughts.

Even now us mummies have to work on our mindset to not fear the worst. To believe our babies are safe and protected always ❤

With a much more positive mindset and less self created blocks I have faith my babies and me are safe and I love our life even though I'm now winging it as a single mama 😆🙃💖

We become so powerful once we remove these worries, stress and negative thinking and focus on becoming healthier and happier 💖💖💖

Such a lovely day today but wow it's hot!!!!

Lucky us got to cool off in my uncle's pool which I hadn't been in for years!

Would love to get Isla-Grace confidently swimming soon she was loving it but we rarely do it these days 🙄

Summer also didn't appreciate it too much and spent most of the time out of the pool!

What I do love is watching all the different ages play together and feel so lucky to have a close family and special little people all around 💕

Our Story

Contented Childcare was founded by Aimee Downing in 2011 and it has been a successful agency in placing nannies throughout Oxfordshire & Berkshire. Aimee has worked in childcare for over 16 years and trained at the Chiltern College so she could specialise in nannying.

in 2017 Aimee went through her own personal life transformation which gave her new excitement and direction to complete other projects and ventures which she is currently working towards.

Aimee met Alison in 2018 when she was looking for a part time nanny who had her own child, to do just a few hours a week looking after her eldest daughter Isla-Grace age 4. Aimee was so drawn to Alison and in particular the fact that she has such great maternity experience which excited Aimee, especially as new baby Summer was soon to be arriving!

Very quickly both Aimee and Alison realised there was much more to this. Alison was the first person who Aimee showed her vision and plans for the future for both Inspirational Girl Next Door and Contented Childcare. Alison loved Aimee’s vision and inspirational ideas and soon a lovely friendship blossomed.

Alison was very excited by Aimee’s plans and these have continued to evolve since she came on board and joined Contented Childcare. Alison has a passion for babies and maternity care, alongside Mum and child health and well being which is where the desire to start From Maternity and Beyond originated.

This sparked a whole new concept for Contented Childcare. Both Aimee and Alison believe that the high quality childcare that nannies provide is the next best option to Mum or Dad and so became adamant that this should be accessible and so affordable for more parents.

Aimee and Alison’s focus is now on nanny-shares and nannies with their own children. They decided that by lowering the Agency Placement Fees they would gain more interest, thus increasing the amount of families suitable for matching together and sharing a nanny. They are also keen to help nannies with their own children; because they truly believe that when you become a Mummy you shift, change and evolve. Allowing for a real understanding of parenthood and the family dynamics.

In addition to this; Aimee has a real passion to provide training days, workshops and online programmes for nannies, parents and children. Aimee has a real understanding into where the focus should be to maintain a happy, healthy, positive home for the whole family to flourish and thrive.

In a rather toxic and disconnected world Aimee and Alison feel they have a lot to offer Mums, to help them to feel happier and more energised and making family life less of a strain. It’s time to enjoy the ones you love and to create a happy environment where important deep bonds and connections are made from the very start.
