For me, a driven game day has never been just about the shooting.

It’s the early morning start, the anticipation as everyone gathers, the sound of the beaters working through the cover, the dogs doing what they were bred to do, and the camaraderie shared between like-minded people in the countryside.

Whether you’re carrying a gun, loading for a Gun, beating, picking-up, or simply enjoying the day, everyone plays an important part in making it a success.

Some of my fondest memories have come from standing on a peg watching a line of pheasants appear over the trees, hearing “Over!” called down the line, and witnessing great shooting, good sportsmanship, and plenty of laughter throughout the day.

It’s a tradition that combines skill, conservation, countryside management and friendship, and one that I feel privileged to have experienced.

About Me

My journey into shooting began through my career as a professional chauffeur and personal driver to a UHNW family, a role I’ve held for over 10 years.
Part of my work involved accompanying principals on driven game days, where I was responsible not only for driving but also for loading, both single and double gun, ensuring safety in the field, spotting birds, and helping to make each day run smoothly and successfully.
It was through these experiences that I discovered my passion for shooting. The first time I pulled the trigger, I was hooked.
Since 2019, I have been actively involved in shooting, primarily clay shooting, while also gaining experience in game and quarry shooting. As my passion for the sport grew, I decided to develop my coaching skills and, in 2022, successfully completed the APSI Shotgun Instructor Course. I am also a proud member of the Association of Professional Shooting Instructors (APSI).
While I enjoy improving my own shooting, what I enjoy most is helping others develop theirs. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone break their first clay, overcome a target they have struggled with, or leave a lesson with greater confidence and enjoyment of the sport.
My coaching style is relaxed, patient and tailored to the individual. Whether you’re completely new to shooting, have recently obtained your shotgun certificate, or are looking to improve your consistency on the clay ground, my aim is to help you become a safer, more confident and more successful shot while enjoying the sport along the way.
Based in South Oxfordshire, I offer one-to-one clay shooting tuition at local shooting grounds for beginners and improvers alike.

My name is Chris, and I’m an APSI-trained shotgun instructor based in South Oxfordshire.

Having shot clays for several years, I’ve developed a real passion for the sport and enjoy helping others improve their shooting in a safe, relaxed and enjoyable environment.

Whether you’re completely new to shooting, have recently obtained your shotgun certificate, or are looking to improve your consistency on the clay ground, tuition is tailored to your individual needs and goals.

Lessons are available at local shooting grounds across Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties, with a focus on building confidence, improving technique and helping you get the most enjoyment from the sport.
