Beautiful morning in Walsingham for the Pilgrimage to the Catholic National Shrine and Basilica of Our Lady at Walsingham.

Our Pilgrims have spent the morning praying, reflecting and taking in the spiritual atmosphere of the shrine of Our Lady. They have written petitions for special intentions and prayers in the Slipper Chapel before moving on to Mass.

This afternoon they will process the Pilgrim’s Way, reciting The Rosary as we progress back towards Walsingham.

Considering secondary schools for your child?

Join us at our Year 6 Open Evening on Wednesday 23 September, from 4.00pm to 7.00pm, and discover what life at St John Fisher could offer your child.

Take a tour of the school with our pupils as your guides. Meet our staff, visit departments, explore our fantastic facilities and provision, including our library, sports centre, 3G pitch and gym, and find out more about our curriculum, the enrichment offer and the support available to help every child thrive.

We have high expectations of our pupils, in their learning, their conduct and the way they treat one another, driven by our virtue-led ethos.

We are a Catholic school, with Christ at the centre and children at the heart, and families of all faiths and backgrounds are warmly welcome.

Year 6 Open Evening Wednesday 23 September, 4.00pm to 7.00pm St John Fisher Catholic Voluntary Academy, Oxford Road, Dewsbury, WF13 4LL

The evening will include a talk from our Headteacher, Mr Karl Mackey, and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and speak to our team about the things that matter most to your family.
