What a way to end the year.

1 more school day to go before we hold our first ever FISHERS FEST!

On Friday our Year 10 Geography students walked into Dewsbury to complete their GCSE Human Geography fieldwork enquiry. They were fantastic ambassadors of our school, showing excellent behaviour and respect throughout the day. Back in school, students took part in a dedicated drop-down day to analyse the data they collected, helping them develop the skills and knowledge needed for their GCSE Paper 3 exam in Year 11.

🩺 During Work Experience Week, our Year 12 nursing students have continued to build their skills through another fantastic NHS experience.

Using specialist equipment and simulation dolls, they practised key nursing techniques while gaining a greater understanding of the teamwork, compassion and responsibility at the heart of patient care.

A huge thank you to Dewsbury and District Hospital and the University of Bradford for providing such a valuable and inspiring opportunity.

We are all packed onto coaches and about to have our last lunch in Lourdes! We will keep our socials updated with timings for parents as soon as we arrive back in England.

Four of our students enjoyed a fantastic evening at Headingley Stadium last Friday as they watched Leeds Rhinos take on Hull KR.

The trip, organised by FBB, gave the boys the opportunity to experience the excitement of live rugby. Before kick-off, they witnessed the moving tribute to the late Rob Burrow, making the evening even more memorable.

With glorious sunshine, an entertaining match, and a brilliant 34–8 victory for Leeds Rhinos, it was a fantastic night from start to finish.

Most importantly, the boys were a credit to both the FBB programme and our school, representing us with pride, respect and exemplary behaviour throughout the evening. Well done, boys!
