Kids Club was created by a small group of parents including Sara Shires, who is the current Directing Manager of Kids Club. What does Kids Club offer?
Kids Club was first established in 2005 in order to provide before and after school childcare to parents/carers who needed childcare for their children for longer than the average school day. At the beginning, Kids Club only provided childcare for a handful of children, however now the numbers have drastically increased. Kids Club’s first intention was to offer affordable childcare within St. Paul
inus Primary School for working parents/carers, this was completed and therefore then it was decided that Kids Club were going to attempt to accommodate their customers even more by going the extra mile and opening earlier and later than the set hours. This change proved extremely popular with the current and new parent/carers. Kids Club currently offer childcare for up to 40 children between the ages of 3 and 16 and is fully registered with Ofsted. Kids Club is a none-profitable organisation with any profits going back into the company or school for various projects. Kids Club is currently located in the main school hall of St. Paulinus Primary School but also has access to other rooms and locations around the school grounds. Those include: the dance studio; the library; the kids club outdoor play area; the secret garden; the school fields and the key stage 2 playground. In all these areas the children are free to play with any toys or activities they wish to do so. They have the choice of where they would like to play and whatever they would like to do with the fantastic range of toys available. Kids Club also offers planned trip days in and out of term time to many different places such as play gyms, Pondarosa, the park and the cinema. As well as all this, Kids Club has also had positive comments on their interest in charity work where the children and staff have helped raise money for different charities. They have done this by working closely with the local Asda in their charity event days where the children will help out by doing bag packing and other helpful tasks. The children at Kids Club have also made strong friendships with the local care homes near the schools by going to put a smile on their faces and singing them Christmas carols.
