That’s a wrap guys! My time in childminding has come to an end as I move on to pastures new in September. Thank you so much to all the families that I’ve been involved with over the last eight years! The school holidays are coming up, money is getting tighter and each week the food shop seems to be going up in price and that’s where the Bread and Butter Thing team can help.

There are 10 hubs across Kirklees (we've produced a handy list of locations) and members can get shopping bags filled with a minimum of £35 worth of quality nutritious food for just £8.50! Every week you can get 3 bags of produce including fresh fruit and veg, chilled goods, as well as cupboard staples. There are other options:-

➡£8.50: A standard set of 3 bags including fruit & veg, chilled food and cupboard staples.
➡£5: 1 mixed bag including fruit & veg, chilled food and cupboard items.
➡£17: A larger set of 6 bags including fruit & veg, chilled food and cupboard staples.

Joining the Bread and Butter Thing is super simple, there is no joining criteria. And it's completely free to join. Back to the pond today and we saw lots of tadpoles and many of them were starting to show their little legs growing! We also found a newt 🦎🐸

After a trip to the garden centre with our friends we finally got some strawberry plants which we potted when we got home. We also potted some more sunflowers after our littlest pet decided to destroy them last week! 🍓🍓
