Yesterday in the freak weather, the bottom bit of the academy flooded, caused by blocked drains. Luckily 7a part of the school is upstairs (2 was fine!). But I just have to make a massive massive whopping great big shout out and THANK YOU to Hannah Sharples, one of our parents, who in the pouring rain, lighting and thunder literally sprang to action. I can’t thank her enough. Without unblocking that drain deep down, the water would have got higher and we’d still be trying to sort it! Huge shout out to Rebecca and Darren Hughes, also school parents too, who helped me shove out the water and vac it all up. Blown away by the help and selflessness!
