Yesterday, Donaldson Class hosted an Autumn Treasures Welly Walk with their families.
We searched for clues of the change of season, collected autumn treasures and observed these precious gifts from God.
The walk was also to promote quality interactions and conversation to develop communication and language.
It was the most joyful morning of talk, exploration, and crafts using natural materials. Thank you to all the families for coming along and helping make the walk such a super success.

Today our brilliant Brunel Class hosted a 'What were schools like in the past?' afternoon. They shared their learning, explored photos of family members when they were are school and travelled back in time to do lots of different activities. All visitors had to vote if they would prefer to go to school in the past or present.... Which do you think won?
Another wonderful afternoon welcoming our families into the classroom. ❤️

Our youngest and newest additions to the St Joseph's family went on their first school trip today!
After only 3 weeks in school, Donaldson Class visited Devizes museum for a workshop about Toys from the Past to support their understanding of the world topic 'Peek into the Past'.
They were truely phenomenal; they were polite, kind, inspired and the best ambassadors for our school.
Miss Payne and Miss Scott were incredibly proud of everyone.
A huge thank you to our parent volunteers and Mrs Milne for accompanying us.
Well done Donaldson Class! ❤️

Seacole class kicked off our 'Open Classrooms' this term with a 'Teddy Bears Picnic'.
To bring their history topic alive, parents came in to talk about their school days and toys from their past with favourite teddy's. There was some lovely reminiscing over photos, toys and memories. Well done Miss Hartley for organising this super event and to the fabulous families for attending and participating.

We offer a wide range of enrichment opportunities across the school at St Joseph's.
Yesterday, Pankhurst Class had the most incredible opportunity to visit the Houses of Parliament to learn more about democracy and the structure of politics in the UK. They saw some key landmarks on their journey and was able to see the statue of their namesake Emmeline Pankhurst. What an amazing experience!
