Holy Trinity CE Primary Academy

Holy Trinity CE Primary Academy Nurturing joy, compassion, courage & aspiration throughout our outstanding school community. Number on roll varies between about 130 and 150 children.

Holy Trinity CE Primary Academy was founded in 2011, formerly Holy Trinity CE Aided Primary School. The primary school was opened in 1980, when the village school at Great Cheverell joined with that in Erlestoke. We serve the villages of Great Cheverell, Little Cheverell, Erlestoke and Coulston though many children come to our school from outside this catchement area. We have a modern, attractive

and well-designed building set in beautiful landscaped grounds overlooking Salisbury plain. Our field, playground and the play equipment are wonderful and much enjoyed by the children. We have an outdoor reflection area, an outdoor theatre, an outdoor classroom and a willow den.

Year 5 had a fantastic Crime Scene Investigation project in the science lab using equipment to analyse fingerprints, fibres, footprints, ink and more to solve a laptop theft case. They also enjoyed using Bunsen burners, chromatography and microscopes, gaining an exciting insight into science beyond primary school. As always, they were a credit to the school! Big thanks Warminster School for hosting this inspiring day.

Our visit to SeaCity Museum brought our Titanic learning to life. Silbury Class explored the museum, decoded morse code messages sent by the Titanic’s Marconi operators and debated who was most responsible for the Titanic sinking, before finishing with an excellent walking tour of key Titanic sites in Southampton. A very enjoyable day!
