Found Outdoors CIC Rewilding project set in 54 acres of Wiltshire woodland and meadows. Found Outdoors is an outdoor education project founded by us, Fiona and Rich Cassidy.

We focus on education, art, nature recovery, art and wellbeing, helping people of all ages (re)connect with the natural world šŸŒ³šŸƒ In 2020 we packed in our jobs and bought 54 acres of woodland and meadows to help children and adults reconnect with nature through forest school, site visits, educational days and events. We work with individuals, schools, charities, universities and many other organisations. VISITING FOUND OUTDOORS: For visits and what we're currently up to please see our website. In the near future we hope to host talks, film nights, multi day residentials and much more.

What a fab day at the Regenerative Foods Biodiversity & Regenerative Food Festival in Salisbury with our Found Outdoors and Wiltshire Small Rewilders hats on!

We met so many wonderful people and had a lot of really positive conversations - it was like the antidote to all the gloom on the news šŸ’š

A huge thank you to everyone who came to see us and all the organisations we met Wiltshire Climate Alliance, Broken Bridges community project and many more.

It was our first stall at an event like this so we learnt plenty and really look forward to doing more.

SUPPER IN THE WOODS!

Thank you so much to everyone who came along to our inaugural supper event last week - we absolutely LOVED IT!

We’ve wanted to do a food event like this since forever, so it was fantastic to make it a reality.

Huge thanks to Grace, Bea and Jill from the Storehouse cafe and Bakery in Trowbridge for the food and flowers and Katya Cassidy from Good Day CafƩ in Bath for the drinks and being such an all round pro!

We learnt a whole lot from running this event so cannot wait to do our next one even better. Keep an eye on our socials and mailing list for updates.

Thank you all for being part of the Found Outdoors Community!

And if you couldn’t make it, we’d love to see you at the next one (or any of our woodland events!).

HANDMADE BENCHES AND TABLES
Plenty of guests were asking about the benches and tables that we had. These are all hand made on site from trees we fell and mill right here! They are constructed from slow grown larch (felled as part of our woodland management plan) so require no treatment - completely organic! Benches are about £150 and tables will be around £400 tbd. Drop us a DM for more info and orders..

From trees to furniture (and buildings)!

We don’t talk much about our forestry work and we probably should. It’s a big part of my work on the land.

However, for this post, I’ll just show you some of my work this week constructing tables for our Supper in the Woods. I’m playing with a couple of designs so we will see which is best on Friday!

Can’t wait to meet everyone who is coming!

…and if you missed out, this might be the first a few/many!

It’s BOOKS IN THE WOODS book club this week!

This month it’s the brilliant (well, we think so) H is for Hawk by Helen Macdonald.

If you’ve read it or have time to cram it in before Thursday evening, then tickets are on our website. Link in bio. Honest critiques and nerdy detail is what we’re about (and coffee obviously) šŸ˜€šŸ’š

See you in the woods!
