👶💛 Welcome to Roots of Empathy! 💛👶

We were delighted to welcome our two wee baby teachers, Liam and Ruairi to our Roots of Empathy programme with Miss Madden and Miss Duddy’s P6 classes! 🥰

The children are looking forward to getting to know our little visitors as they learn about empathy, kindness, caring and understanding others’ feelings. 💕

We can’t wait to watch their journeys together unfold! 🌟👣

Wow! What a brilliant Halloween Swap Shop! 👻🎃

The children had an absolute ball choosing their own costumes and even trying them on! 🧙‍♀️🦸‍♂️
A huge thank you to our fantastic P5 pupils, who are taking part in our Eco and Forest School programme. They did a wonderful job helping the younger children choose their costumes and even manning the till, exchanging tokens for costumes! 🎟️🧚

If any children missed out today, they’ll have the opportunity to redeem their tokens for a costume tomorrow. If a costume didn’t fit, please bring it back into school tomorrow and we’ll help find a better fit.

Once again, a massive thank you to everyone who helped make our Swap Shop such a brilliant success! 💚 Together, we’re helping to make the world a more sustainable place, one costume at a time. 🌍♻️

Halloween Swap Shop 2026 👻🎃
Here’s a sneak peek at our Halloween Swap Shop, which is finally ready! 👀🧡
A huge thank you to all our wonderful pupils and families who have got involved. We have almost 200 costumes hung up and ready to go! 🧛🧚
Tomorrow, our pupils will have the opportunity to spend their tokens and choose a ‘new-to-them’ costume to wear this Halloween! 🎟️✨
The excitement has been building, and we can’t wait to get into the spooky spirit! 👻💀🎃

🔢🎉 Maths Week Ireland 2026

Today, our pupils took part in a live online maths lesson as part of Maths Week Ireland! 💻🧮

The children enjoyed getting involved, using their problem-solving skills and exploring the fun and exciting side of maths. It was a great opportunity to learn together and see that maths is everywhere! 👀➕➖✖️➗

🌟Reminder- All P6 children taking part in the ‘Pedal Ready’ sessions tomorrow MUST bring in their own bike and helmet. Allocated spaces will be available in the bike shed to safely park up✅.

Make sure to check that your child’s helmet fits correctly and their bike is safe for cycling on🪖🚲.

Our fantastic P2 boys and girls are having so much fun in their play based learning. They are discovering how important different workers are in our community. Have a look at them taking on the role of paramedics, doctors, nurses and patients in their outdoor play. We have marvelled at how they use the loose parts in their environment to become parts of the hospital and the treatment for their patients! 🏨🚑
Every child has learned what to do in an emergency through their World Around Us. ☎️
And in our indoor play every child has made their very own playdough. They have measured, mixed and kneaded, just like real bakers. They also added scent, colour and glitter. 👨‍🍳
We are having so much fun learning in a playful way with our friends. ❤️

This week, as a school, we celebrated our annual Cycle to School Week! 🚲🏫
Well done to all the children who participated by making an active journey to or from school. A special congratulations to Miss Wade’s P3 class, who had the most cyclists, completing an outstanding 43 journeys over the week! 🌟

At assembly today we were all reminded of our uniqueness by Mrs Mc Laughlin's Primary 4 pupils. We heard wonderful stories about what made each one of them special 🌟. And what a fabulous performance of 'This is Me' at the end 🎶 . Well done boys and girls! 👏
