🎒✨ BACK TO SCHOOL! ✨🎒

We can’t wait to welcome all of our amazing pupils back to FVPS on Tuesday 1st September for another exciting year together! 💛

Our school staff have been VERY busy this week getting classrooms ready and preparing lots of exciting things for the year ahead. But one thing is for sure… FVPS has been VERY quiet without our wonderful pupils filling the corridors with their smiles, laughter and chatter! We have missed you all and can’t wait to have our school buzzing again! 🏫💛

Just a little reminder for Tuesday:

Breakfast Club will be open from 8am! ☀️

School dinners must be booked via ParentPay. 🍽️

🌟 Primary 1 families have been sent their individual start times separately. We are especially excited to welcome our newest pupils and families to the FVPS school community! 💛

Enjoy the last few days of the summer holidays, make the most of those final lie-ins, and get those uniforms ready! 🎒✏️

Well Done to all our boys and girls who played in the O'Neills Foyle Cup last week. ⚽️🏆🎉👏
A fantastic way to develop skills, challenge yourself, create lifelong memories and most importantly have plenty of fun.
A special mention to some achievements from our pupils..(and staff)!!
🏆Eglinton Eagles 2016s and coach Gary, on winning the Vase.
🏆Newtowne Youth Colts 2016s on securing the Salver
🏆And Eglinton Eagles CCFC Under 12 Girls on winning the Foyle Cup!!! 👏🎉🌟🤩🥇

Our Past Pupil Phoebe continues to make positive steps forward and we all wish her well in the coming weeks and months.

Phoebe's fabulous extended family are organising a Tractor Run this Saturday to give back to the incredible charity Angel Wishes who have supported them over the past 10 months since Phoebe's diagnosis.

🏆 Key Stage Sports Awards 🏆

At our End of Year Assembly, we were delighted to announce our Key Stage Sports Awards, celebrating the fantastic effort, commitment and sportsmanship shown by our pupils throughout the year. 🌟

A huge congratulations to Cara and Tomás, who were awarded our Top Girl and Top Boy Sports Awards in Primary 7. 👏🏃‍♀️🏅

We are incredibly proud to share that Faughanvale Primary School has been awarded the Bronze Award as part of the Educating the Heart programme, delivered by Children in Crossfire. 💙

This special recognition celebrates our commitment to nurturing compassionate, caring and globally aware young people. Recently, Mrs O’ Donnell and Mr Mc Closkey attended a celebration event in the Guildhall, where schools from across the Compassionate Schools Network came together to celebrate their achievements.

At Faughanvale, we believe that education is about so much more than academic success. We are passionate about helping our pupils develop kindness, empathy, respect and a sense of responsibility towards others, values that are at the very heart of our school community.

A huge thank you to Lynda, Seamus and the Children in Crossfire team for their continued support and inspiration. We are honoured to receive this award and look forward to continuing our journey as we work towards the Silver Award! 💙🌍
