⛳ Reminder – After-School Golf ⛳

A reminder that Skill School Golf will begin on Tuesday 15th September at St. Mary’s! 🏌️‍♀️🏌️

The 8-week programme is open to pupils from P1–P7, with sessions tailored to different age groups. A great opportunity to have fun, learn new skills and give golf a go! 🌟

🏴‍☠️ Ahoy, me hearties! A pirate adventure for P1/2! 🗺️✨

After reading Jake’s First Day, the children received a very special delivery from one of our P5 pupils - a mysterious treasure map from Captain Rory! With great excitement and plenty of “Arrrghs!” along the way, our little pirates followed the map and searched for clues throughout the school.

At last, they discovered the missing treasure chest, filled with coins, jewels, fun money activities, lots of goodies and, of course, a well-earned Friday treat! 🍬💰

Among the treasure was a very special mirror. As each child looked inside, they discovered the greatest treasure of all… themselves! Each child was reminded that they are wonderful, important and truly one of a kind. ✨💛

Our First Stars of the Week!

What a lovely first week back at St. Mary’s! It has been wonderful to see everyone settling back into school life so well, getting to know new routines and enjoying being back together again.

A very special well done to our first Stars of the Week for 2026/27!
Our Stars have already impressed their teachers through their hard work, kindness, positive attitudes and the wonderful example they have set for others. What a fantastic achievement in the very first week - we are so proud of you all! 🌟👏

A very special good luck to our Primary 5 pupil, who will be competing in motocross in England and is proudly representing Ireland! What a fantastic achievement. We wish him the very best of luck in all of his races and hope he enjoys every minute of the experience. Everyone at St. Mary’s will be cheering you on! 🏅

A brilliant start to what we’re sure will be a year filled with many more achievements to celebrate.

And finally, a special mention to our past pupils who have begun their new adventure at post-primary school this week. We hope all of our new Year 8 pupils had a brilliant first week, have settled in well and are enjoying this exciting next chapter. We’re still cheering you on from St. Mary’s!

A few wee reminders for the weeks ahead:

🍎 Breakfast Club runs each morning from 8:00–9:00am, with breakfast served between 8:00–8:30am.
For children not attending Breakfast Club, the school gates will open at 8:55am when the bell rings, ready for the school day to begin. 🔔💛

🏃 PE will continue to take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so please remember PE kits on these days.

💛 Welcome Back to St. Mary’s!💙

How are we here already? After what feels like a very quick summer, the doors of St. Mary’s opened once again on Friday, and it has been wonderful to see our classrooms, corridors and playground filled with smiling faces. 🌟

A very special welcome goes to our new Primary 1 pupils, who have settled into school life so brilliantly. We are already so proud of how well they have adapted to their new routines, made new friends and embraced all the fun and learning that comes with starting school. We absolutely love having you as part of our St. Mary’s family! 💛

We are so excited to see what the 2026/27 school year has in store for all our pupils and look forward to another year filled with learning, laughter, friendships, achievements and plenty of special memories along the way.

We hope everyone enjoys their Bank Holiday Monday, and we look forward to seeing you all tomorrow! 💛✨

A very special welcome to our wonderful new Primary 1 pupils, who have settled into life at St. Mary’s so brilliantly. We are also delighted to welcome all our pupils back for another exciting school year filled with learning, laughter and plenty of happy memories together! 🥰📚

We hope all our families have had a lovely summer break and are looking forward to the new school year.

A few updates:

We are currently experiencing an issue with Just2Easy and our school text messaging service as we move our school systems from SIMS to Bromcom. While this is being resolved, if you need to contact the school, please email us at [email protected].

Staff will return to school on Monday 24th August, should families need to get in touch.

All pupils will return on Friday 28th August for a settling-in day.
School will then be closed on Monday 31st August for the Bank Holiday.
