Please join us for our AGM. We welcome everyone involved with the Playschool or who has an interest in helping a local school to please come along.

There will also be an opportunity to Join our committee as well. We have monthly meetings to discuss fundraising and general running of Playgroup. These are fun evenings and a chance to also get to know others and make new friends.

** CAR WASH FUNDRAISER TOTAL**

We had our April fundraiser on Saturday and the sun was shining for us. A great day for washing cars. We would like to thank Lisa and Gordon Browne from Browne & Day and Costcutter at Browne & Day for letting us use their premises to wash cars. They are always a great support to our playgroup. Much appreciated.

We also thank everyone who took the time to share it on social media, sent their friends and family to get their cars washed, helped out at the car wash and helped behind the scenes. (Especially to those who stayed well on passed the closing time as there was cars kept coming 👏👏) It's not possible to do these fundraisers without that help.

Fundraising is an essential part of our playgroup to be able to buy items to help our children every year to learn and have fun before they make the next big step to Primary School.

Please please keep this support up and look out for our May fundraiser soon on Facebook. Every little share and word of mouth helps for these fundraisers.

Our total for the car wash raised for Straidarran Playgroup is £ 900.00

Fantastic work everyone we are delighted and we all had such a fun day.

This Thursday, 25 April, parents/guardians will receive the outcome of their Pre-School (Stage 1) or Primary 1 application for September 2024.

Applicants who applied online via EA Connect will receive an email on Thursday. If you do not receive an email, please check your junk folder.

If you did not apply via EA Connect a letter will be sent to your home address.

For children yet to secure a Pre-school or P1 place, you will receive a letter or email from the Education Authority.

Please note, pre-school applicants of underage children and late deferrals will receive their outcome on 11 June 2024.

Parents who have a child with a Statement of Special Educational Needs awaiting placement will be updated by their SEN link officer or school/setting when a placement has been secured. This process may take a little longer as we work to find the best placement for your child’s needs.

Our amazing playgroup in the local community is celebrating 45 years this year. We have some amazing fundraisers coming up over the next few months for the playgroup from getting your car cleaned up for the weekend by our fabulous volunteers, to winning some amazing prizes and a fun night out with family and friends. Keep an eye out soon for more details.

In the past we have had a successful car wash fundraiser at Browne and Days in Claudy ... So we have decided to do it again 🎊 as before we relied on that years parents to volunteer their time and to help out.
So now it's this year's parents to help out 🤩

The Car Wash will be on Saturday the 27th of April there will be a sheet in playgroup for you to add your name to, or you can nominate a family member, 🙈 there are 2 bays so we are asking for 4 volunteers in each hourly slot starting from 9am to 4pm
