We are delighted to share that Model Primary and Nursery School has achieved the Autism NI Impact Award for Education.
This award recognises our ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive, welcoming and accessible school environment for autistic and neurodivergent pupils and their families.
As part of the award process, our staff completed tailored training with Autism NI and worked together to implement a bespoke action plan. This has helped us to identify and introduce a range of practical adjustments across our school, supporting us in making our learning environment even more inclusive and accessible for all.
Christine Kearney, Autism NI’s Director of Development, congratulated the school on achieving the award and recognised the practical and meaningful changes we have made to promote accessibility and build an inclusive culture.
We are very proud of this achievement and of the commitment shown by our staff. Most importantly, the award reflects our continued commitment to ensuring that every child feels understood, included, supported and valued as part of our school community.
