Starting a new course or even exploring a new career can feel a little daunting, especially when you’re meeting someone new. So here’s a bit about me, to help you feel comfortable and confident from the very beginning.
Who I Am👋🏻
I’m Lorna, 35, mum of two little ones aged 4 and 7. When I’m not teaching or in the salon, you’ll usually find me at the gym, doing yoga, spending time with my children, or supporting other female owned businesses. I love what I do, and I love helping women build careers that give them freedom, confidence and balance.
My Background🎓
Before beauty, my career was in finance, I’m a business degree graduate, a qualified mortgage adviser, and a qualified adult educator. Six years ago, after having my second child, I decided to take the leap into self‑employment. I started with zero clients and built my business from the ground up into a busy, award‑winning salon.
That journey taught me how rewarding it is to be in control of your time, your income and your future. Now, through Lynton House Beauty Academy, I’m passionate about helping other women do the same.

My goal is simple, to support and educate women who want more flexibility, a better work life balance, or a new career path entirely. Whether you’re looking to retrain, add a new skill to your current work, or create a side income, I’m here to guide you with no pressure and no obligation.
