Wren and Puffin class - Banham Zoo Trip

We learnt all about how animals camouflage in their environments and even had to see if we could spot different animals in their environments, which was very tricky! Then we were able to stroke Stacey who was a New Zealand stick insect.
After lunch we had a ride on the train finishing with a walk around the zoo to see some of the animals. The children were fantastic showing amazing behaviour and asked some very thoughtful questions using superb vocabulary. All of the adults were very proud of the children!

Year 3 visit Sheringham Beach

Last week, Skylark class visited Sheringham to celebrate a great school year. The children had so much fun building sandcastles, jumping waves, scavenging and playing games. They made us proud with their safe behaviour in the water, and their marvellous manners at the park and the ice cream shop! A huge thank you to our amazing parent helpers for coming along and joining the fun.

Hummingbird class had an excellent end of term trip to West Runton. They started their day off by litter picking and collecting data for their geography unit. The children did a great job at doing their part to protect our oceans.

They then had fun making sandcastles and paddling in the water (some children got rather soggy!). The children also had an ice-cream and picnic lunch, followed by a game of stuck in the mud.
A lovely day in the sunshine and a wonderful way to celebrate the end of Year 5!

Wren class made fruit kebabs inspired by their key text Handa's surprise. The children chose the different fruits they wanted to include in their kebabs and used fantastic cutting skills to cut them to the correct size.
We hope everyone enjoyed eating their kebabs when they got home!

Year 6 Water Fight 💧🤿🪣☀️

Keeping with the St Mary's tradition, the Year 6's had their end of year celebratory water fight this afternoon. They had the perfect weather for it! But safe to say Mrs Marsham & Mrs Treavett were the main targets - they even battled against a water balloon run at the end!!

Year 6 Leavers Trip 🎥🎞️🍿🥤🎳👾🕹️

After all of their hard working with their entrepreneur fund raising, the children celebrated their leavers trip in style!
First, they enjoyed a private screening at Odeon cinema - drinks and snacks included.
Then it was off to Hollywood Bowl, for a game of bowling, lunch and time in the arcades.

We hope they had a wonderful time - we know the adults did!!

Year 6 play - Battle of the Bands 👏🏻👏🏻

Congratulations to all of our actors and actresses for their incredible performances - it was an epic production this year!
Thank you to the talented Mrs Yeates for once again writing a personalised script to match the children’s interests and personalities! Thank you also to Mrs Marsham, Mrs Kempson and Mrs Burrows for their support with play practices, stage and prop making.
We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Sports Day 2026! Wow - a fantastic day today. Our pupils were simply amazing - they gave their best, were superbly behaved and cheered for the whole event. Thank you to all our brilliant parents for supporting us and for those who donated gazebos, water and the PA system. Our winning house was Willow - well done all Willows for their victory.
