This week: we have been talking about all creatures that live in the sea, our own visits to the beach and exploring nature based under the sea trays. We have exploring what happens when we pour and fill pots and pans with water, played with our new cascading water tower and of course splashing about in the paddling pools as the heatwave returned!

We also dug up our first batch of new potatoes which was very exciting.

Next week: we will be preparing the children for their transition to ‘big school’ and getting in a little more singing practise for our Graduation day.

This week: what a corker it has been! We have been exploring our theme of seaside, lots of sandpit fun (even inside), icecream role play, counting sprinkles and working those fine motor skills pushing them into our ice lollies. We have also been getting creative and exploring the texture of sand making sandcastles pictures to take home, counting sea shells and learning all about Seal Six!

We also had the most fantastic time on our Preschool annual trip to Sandringham. We explored the woodland, had some great fun on the park with our friends and grown ups and then sat down to a picnic and a yummy icecream.

Next week: It will be ‘under the sea’ theme, think seas creatures and maybe even mermaids! 🧜‍♀️

This week: We have continued our healthy bodies theme starting the week with our fantastic sports day! Thank you so much for everyone's support and for those that could make it on the day to cheer the children along.
As the weather has been heating up, we have spending lots of time splashing about in orange and water filled sensory trays, transferring water from one tray to another and emptying and filling cups and tubes.

Next week: The water play will continue when we have a week of Pirate themed activities, Arrrr!

This week: We have been Wheel-y busy!

We have been holding our sponsored Wheel-a-thon all week and the children have managed to complete lots of laps of our track, thank you to all those that sponsored and supported them!

We have also started our sports day practise, talking about our favourite sports, encouraging confidence building and turn taking and completing obstacle courses.

We have been talking about all the things that make us healthy, our favourite healthy foods and discussing what changes we notice in our body after we have been exercising.

Next week: We will be continuing our theme of healthy bodies and being active, we will also be completing our Sports day!

This week: We have been learning about journeys and transport

Next week: We are learning about Being active and healthy bodies. We have our Wheel-a-thon, remember to bring in a bike or a scooter!

This week: we explored our theme of growth and celebrated world bee day.

We enjoyed sensory trays with honey drizzlers, made the sweetest pine cones bees and even enjoyed a honey tasting session. Kindly organised by our very own Betsy Bear!

We have enjoyed seeing the sun today and helping our plants grow in the garden by giving them lots of water. We painted some beautiful flowers and talked about what they needed to grow.

We also released our butterflies as they had all come out of their cocoons! Wow, we have had a very busy week!

Next week: it’s half term, enjoy the sunshine and have a fantastic break!

This week: We have been making bug hotels and homes for the animals we may find in our gardens at home. We have enjoyed splashing in all the puddles the rain has brought us and talked about how it will help our preschool garden grow.

Next week: We will be exploring our theme of growth, planting some seeds and celebrating world bee day!
