Choosing a nursery is an important decision for you and your family, therefore we hope the following information will answer your questions about our aims and standards of child care and education to enable you to have complete confidence that you are making the right choice. We provide quality childcare and education for children aged 0to 5 years in a relaxed caring environment by experienced nur

sery staff. We have a pastoral mentor and safeguarding specialist on-site. The mobile facilities are bright, attractive, warm and inviting and are specifically designed to enhance the children’s learning and well-being. The outside area has been fully designed and equipped to allow the children the freedom to play safely, using a mixture of imagination and dexterity. At Scribbles Pre-School Group we believe in providing the best service we can and having a positive outlook to quality and through this, we encourage feedback from both parents and staff because we recognise that this is the way we can improve. We also set our day-to-day standards higher than necessary (not just when the inspectors come) and communication with parents has a major part to play in this wish, so therefore we always welcome any feedback about our care. The interior is designed in a bright, attractive, clean, warm and welcoming way, to make everyone feel comfortable and at home. The furniture and equipment has been carefully chosen to be of high quality and age appropriate, allowing children to learn through the freedom of play with the importance of safety in mind. The outside area has been fully designed and equipped to allow the children the freedom to play safely and with security being a priority using a mixture of imagination and physical dexterity. As a privately run day nursery, we aim to provide a secure and loving environment in which your child can grow and develop to their maximum potential in every aspect of their early lives. In order to achieve this we aim to encourage the physical, intellectual, linguistic, emotional and social skills that your child needs to develop their self-esteem and confidence, so that they may become happy, fun loving children with the enthusiasm to learn and make friends feeling independent and respected. Expressed simply our aims for your child are: • To have fun and be happy. • To become confident and independent. • To make friends and develop the necessary social skills to do so. • To develop a love of learning. • To develop his/her own gifts and skills to maximise potential in all areas. • To feel secure and respected within a loving environment.

🌟 All About Me! 🌟

Our babies have been having lots of fun exploring our “All About Me” theme! 👶💕

They have particularly enjoyed getting hands-on with sand play, exploring the texture, scooping and discovering what they can find. We added mirrors into the sand to encourage the babies to explore their own reflections while investigating the sensory experience. 🏖️🪞✨

The babies have also loved exploring our mirror blocks, looking at their reflections and discovering themselves from different angles. 🪞😊

It has been lovely watching their curiosity, smiles and little moments of discovery as they learn more about themselves and the world around them! 💕🌈

🌾🐄 Farm Animal Week in Squiggles! 🐷🐔🐑

This week in Squiggles, we’re learning all about farm animals! Today, we got hands-on with our fantastic farm sensory tray, exploring different textures, animals and farm-themed resources. 🌱✨

The children enjoyed talking about the animals they recognised, the sounds they make and where they live, while developing their language, imagination and fine motor skills through sensory play. 💚

This type of learning helps to support children’s early communication skills, encourages curiosity and problem-solving, and strengthens their sensory development and hand-eye coordination. It also helps build confidence as they explore new ideas and begin to make connections with the world around them. 🌍🐑

We’re looking forward to lots more farm-themed learning and fun throughout the week! 🚜🐑🌾

Tomorrow marks such a special milestone as your little ones take their first steps into their new adventure at primary school🥹✨

We have absolutely loved looking after your children and it has been such a pleasure to watch them grow, learn and develop into their own wonderful little characters. Every child has brought their own personality, laughter and special memories to Scribbles, and we will miss them all so very much! ❤️

A huge thank you to every family who has chosen Scribbles to care for your children. We know that putting your pride and joy into the hands of someone else can be a daunting and emotional thing, and we truly appreciate the trust you have placed in us. It means more than you know❤️

Thank you for allowing us to be part of their early years, to watch them grow and to share so many special moments with them🥲❤️

We wish each and every one of them every bit of happiness, confidence and success as they begin this exciting new chapter. We know they are going to be amazing! 🌟

And of course… we would LOVE to see them all dressed up in their school uniforms! 🎒👔👗 Please feel free to email us pictures — we would be so happy to see their proud little faces on their big day! 📸🥰

🦖🎨 Dinosaur Fun!🎨🦖

Today, the Scribblings had lots of messy fun with our dinosaur-themed activities! The babies enjoyed mark making and becoming little messy monsters as they stomped their dinosaurs through the paint, exploring colours, textures and movement!🖌️🦕

We then explored a dinosaur sensory tray filled with a variety of exciting textures for the babies to touch, feel and investigate. With lots of dinosaurs to stomp, move and play with, the children had a wonderful time exploring alongside their peers and developing their sensory and social skills💚🦖

🌟 Mini Omelette Making in Squiggles! 🍳
This morning, the children in Squiggles enjoyed a fun and hands-on cooking activity as they made their very own mini omelettes! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

The children helped to cut up the peppers and mushrooms, carefully cracked the eggs into a jug, and then added the peppers, cheese and mushrooms to the egg mixture. They enjoyed mixing everything together and watching their ingredients come together! 🫑🍄🧀🥚

An adult then safely cooked the omelettes, and the children were delighted to enjoy them for snack. 😋

This was a wonderful opportunity to develop the children's EYFS skills, including fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, following instructions, independence and confidence, while also exploring healthy foods and enjoying the process of cooking together. ❤️

Well done, Squiggles! 🌈🍳

🐷🐮Messy and Clean Animals 🐑🐴

Our Squiggles children had a fantastic time getting messy as they explored our oobleck mud tray! 🐷🐮🐴 They covered the farm animals in squelchy brown oobleck and used their fingers to make marks, developing their sensory awareness, fine motor skills and hand strength through hands-on play.

Then came the best part… bath time for the animals! 🛁 The children used bubbly water, cloths, brushes and sponges to scrub, squeeze, wipe and brush the animals until they were sparkling clean. This encouraged lots of problem-solving, imaginative play and opportunities to develop coordination.

The experience also sparked wonderful conversations about farms and animals 🐄🐑🐖. We talked about the animals we might find on a farm, what they look like and the sounds they make, supporting communication, language and vocabulary.

Today our little babies had so much fun being messy monsters! 🎨👶💛

They got creative making beautiful peacocks through mark making, using paintbrushes, paint and their hands before adding colourful feathers to bring their creations to life. 🦚✨

Our younger babies had a wonderful time exploring the feathers too, enjoying lots of sensory fun as they “fed” the feathers into their beautiful peacock creations! 🪶🥰

What a lovely, messy and creative activity full of exploring, discovering and having fun! 🌈🎨🦚

Today our little artists got creative as we explored painting lions using leaves and natural resources such as grass and flowers.🌿🌱

We used the natural materials to decorate our lions’ beautiful manes, experimenting with different textures, colours and ways of painting. It was a wonderful sensory and creative experience, allowing us to explore nature while developing our curiosity and imagination.

Once our lions were finished, we had lots of fun pretending to be little lions ourselves, practising our best roars and getting into character!

A lovely morning of creativity, nature and lots of roaring fun.🦁

The babies have had such a wonderful time exploring our Zoo & Wild animals topic to start the week! They turned into little explorers as they discovered a variety of soft teddy animals and enjoyed investigating our zoo small world. 🧸

We have also been enjoying the much-loved story Dear Zoo 📖 and getting hands-on with our Dear Zoo tuff tray! The babies explored rice, animal characters, the storybook and a post box, practising their posting skills. 📮

These experiences supported the babies’ sensory development, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, communication and language, curiosity, problem-solving and imaginative play.

What a lovely day of exploring, discovering and learning! 🌿
