Clapham and Patching C of E Primary School

Every year when we return to school the apple and pear trees share their wonderful harvest and we like to get cooking! Cygnets collected the fruit from the garden and made apple and pear turnovers. They read a recipe, then cut and tasted the fruit before baking. This has inspired our literacy for the week where we will be creating instructions for making the turnovers that we would like use to create a school recipe book! Yum yum. 🍐🍎🍏🍐

Back to school and back to helping our lovely community. Year 5 and 6 started September with our monthly clean of St John the Divine in Patching 😊.

Sadly, our school apples only won third prize in the Clapham and Patching Horticultural Society show…because they were beaten by Granny B! 🥇🍎

This week, we had a visit from ISS who will be cooking our school lunches in September. The team were lovely and the food very tasty. 😊
