A reminder that school closes at 12:00pm on Thursday for the summer holidays.

Please take a moment to read the attached information, which includes:

✅ Details of our Mobile Phone-Free School policy, which comes into effect from September.

Please note Years 12 and 13 should use the Sixth Form turnstiles to access the school site from September.

‼️Due to persistent rain today and further rain forecast for tomorrow, we have unfortunately decided to postpone Year 10 Sports Day.
Year 10 students will therefore need to be in school uniform, follow their normal timetable and be in lessons as usual tomorrow‼️

Sports Day has been rescheduled for Wednesday 10th June.

Books, costumes, quizzes and a visiting poet… World Book Day at Derby Cathedral School was packed with brilliant moments 📚

Staff and sixth form students dressed as their favourite book characters, classrooms transformed their doors into creative book-themed displays, and students explored new genres through our Book Bingo challenge in the Learning Resource Centre.

Year 7 took part in a live football-themed reading quiz, while Year 11 enjoyed a special session with a visiting poet who shared the real-life inspiration behind one of her poems and how writers turn experiences into powerful stories.
