We are the only Taekwondo Club in the city of Derby that practices Olympic Taekwondo and full member of British Taekwondo.

With six gold medals across the day, National Taekwondo Club took home the Para Poomsae Team Trophy from the National Poomsae Championships earlier this month 🏆

The weekend in Nottingham was another example of how inclusive our Martial Art is, as our Poomsae Community came together to celebrate each other across two days of action at David Ross Sports Village.

Nunchaku session for beginners in today’s Taekwondo class at NTC Derby! 🥋✨
Students practiced control, focus, and flow while learning basic swings and transitions. A fun way to build coordination, discipline, and confidence!

We are very proud 😎
The efforts of our Taekwondo Club were acknowledged today in the Derby council cabinet meeting, which was streamed live 🎥💪
We managed to secure £300,000 in funding for our new location—King George V Pavilion—where we are expanding our activities to accommodate a wider range of programs.

We were honoured to welcome MP Catherine Atkinson (Derby North) to King George V Pavilion, where she learnt about our ambitious plans for the future! After successfully securing over a quarter of a million pounds from the central government under the Government Plan for Change, we are set to fully refurbish our new location and create a fantastic space for the community.
