Proof that you DO NOT need fancy activities to keep children entertained! 🥰
A handful of pom poms + some everyday containers = LOTS of fun today!

A simple set-up, but so many opportunities for open-ended play, creativity, problem solving and fine motor practice — and they’ve been completely engrossed! 🙌

✨ Looking for a simple activity to keep your toddler entertained for AGES that’s cheap, easy to set up and mess-free?! ✨

All you need is a balloon + some magnetic tiles 🧲🎈
Place one magnetic tile inside the balloon, then let your toddler use it to pick up the other tiles.
And who knows… you might even get to drink your drink while it’s actually HOT for once! ☕😂🙌🏼

Cheap, simple and guaranteed to keep little hands busy! 💕

The rain hasn’t stopped our outdoor play today!

We have also given our new little friend a warm welcome. The children shared toys, took turns, made space in their games and proudly showed them their favourite activities. It was wonderful to see kindness, confidence and friendship growing throughout the day! 🥰💕

⛸️🧊 DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN TAKE A PUSHCHAIR ON THE ICE AT NOTTINGHAM ICE ARENA?! 😳

Neither did I… but I had to give it a go and that’s exactly what we’ve done today! 🤣

We took the tram into Nottingham, spent the journey looking out of the window and chatting about everything we could see, then headed to the ice.

And we were lucky enough to brush shoulders with a Nottingham Panthers player! 🐾

Today I have officially added “ice skating with a pushchair” to our list of childcare adventures! Just another totally normal day at Cotton Socks… pushchair ice skating! 😂⛸️

✨ All in a day’s work at Cotton Socks! ✨

We’ve been really busy today, getting straight back into our routine after the Bank Holiday weekend!

This morning, we had lots of fun bouncing together on the bouncy castle, before heading outside to make the most of the sunshine. We’ve been busy in the garden, getting messy in the mud kitchen and enjoying plenty of outdoor play! ☀️🌿

We also had a lovely trip out to the farm, where we got to see and feed the animals 🐑🐐. The children loved getting up close, exploring the surroundings and learning through hands-on experiences!

There’s never a dull moment here, and I absolutely love seeing the children learning, exploring and having fun together throughout the day.

☀️🌻 Come with us for a beautiful sunny day out! 🌻☀️
What a lovely day spent exploring! We made our way through the maize maze, wandered through the gorgeous wildflower meadow and stopped to admire the beautiful sunflowers. 🌼🌻
There was SO much to see and do, with plenty to keep us busy all day! The little ones especially loved the two sand pits and the fantastic outdoor climbing frame and slide. 🛝🏖️

With fresh air, sunshine, nature and lots of opportunities to explore, climb, dig and play, this really is a fantastic place for all ages — there genuinely is something for everyone! 💛

✨ The playroom is ready! ✨

After a lovely week away on holiday, the playroom is all set up and ready for the children to return tomorrow — and to welcome some new faces too! 🥰

I’ve had a little move around while we’ve been away, creating some extra space for play, exploring and learning. I can’t wait to see the children’s reactions and watch them get stuck back into all their favourite activities! 🧸🎨📚🌿

Everything is ready… just waiting for little footsteps, big smiles and lots of fun! 💛
