Well done and thank you to all our performers who contributed to last week's Primary Teatime Concert.
Our series of Primary Teatime Concerts provide an opportunity for our Primary pupils to showcase all the hard work they are doing in lessons and at home.
It was fantastic to see so many pupils perform for the first time and see how our older pupils are flourishing with their chosen instrument.
More photographs are available on the school’s primary gallery. A link and password was published in last week's Primary High Notes.

The children showed incredible courage, teamwork and determination as they took part in exciting activities, conquered fears and stepped outside their comfort zones.
Most importantly, they had lots of fun and strengthened friendships along the way.

Year 4 had an unforgettable residential trip to Willersley Castle, packed with adventure, teamwork and new experiences.
On the way, the children explored the historic Cromford Mills, learning about Sir Richard Arkwright and the Industrial Revolution while making excellent links to their classroom learning.
During their stay, pupils challenged themselves through exciting activities including bushcraft, ziplining, rifle shooting, rock climbing and team-building tasks. They showed fantastic courage, resilience and encouragement towards one another throughout the trip.
We are incredibly proud of how brilliantly the children represented Derby High, embracing every opportunity with enthusiasm and confidence while creating memories to last a lifetime.

Year 4 took part in an exciting bug hunt around the school grounds this week as part of their science learning. To support their Animals topic, Dr Ngwerume led the children on an outdoor investigation through the Conservation Area and down to the school pond.
During the session, pupils developed their understanding of habitats and ecosystems, while learning more about minibeasts, food chains and the importance of biodiversity within the natural world.
Despite the damp weather, the children thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to learn outdoors. Experiences such as these provide valuable hands-on learning opportunities, helping to bring classroom learning to life through practical exploration and discovery.
