This week Nursery have been learning that the past is something that has already happened, so we talked about how dinosaurs existed in the past but not now in the present. The children have been digging for dinosaur bones and making fossils with the playdough๐ฆ๐ฆ

This afternoon year 2 have planted their sunflowers. We canโt wait to watch them grow over the next few weeks ๐ป
Yesterday, the children were very surprised to discover a large nest containing four huge eggs. They were fascinated and spent a long time looking closely at them. Eventually, one brave child carefully picked up an egg. Curiosity got the better of them, and when they opened the eggs, they were amazed to find tiny baby dinosaurs inside!
The children began asking lots of questions. Where had they come from? How had they ended up in Receptions outdoor area?
A little while later, a letter arrived from the dinosaurs' mummies. They explained that the baby dinosaurs might be in danger and asked the children to help look after them and keep them safe. The children eagerly accepted the responsibility and have become wonderful dinosaur foster parents, showing great care and kindness towards their new friends.
This morning, we received an exciting message from our caretaker. He told us that he had spotted a dinosaur on the CCTV cameras and even sent us a video clip as evidence! We were all amazed to see it.
Now we are left wondering... what danger are the baby dinosaurs in? Could the dinosaur on the CCTV be looking for them? Are there other dinosaurs nearby?
