Our topic in Reception this half term is ‘There’s no place like home’, which is all about learning about ourselves and each other. The children have loved playing with their ‘mini-me’s’ this week in the small world area and have used their imaginations to create different stories - they have been so creative! 😊

This week, we have been very lucky at Chaddesden Park Primary School to have the opportunity to explore our new topics using VR headsets. From exploring rainforests and rivers, to learning about European cities, to understanding seasonal changes and even going back in time to the Great Fire of London, the children have been able to make their learning more immersive - what a great way to kick off our academic year and we are looking forward to using them again throughout the next few months 😊

Come and join us for-
Outdoor Cinema – Monday21st September

Our Outdoor Cinema is (hopefully!) finally happening!

Gates open: 3:45pm
Film starts: 4:30pm

There will hopefully be hot food and drinks available, and you are also welcome to bring your own picnic.

After all the postponements, let’s keep everything crossed that the fourth time of booking is the charm! What could possibly go wrong? 😂 Bring your blankets, chairs and cushions.

Cinema tickets are still available from the school office and can also be purchased on the gate on the day, (Cash only). Tickets are a minimum £2 donation for up to four tickets.

What a fantastic morning these had, working together, cheering each other on, getting wet followed by a family picnic. Thank you to everyone who helped to raise the funds so we could put this event on again this year!
