Reception and Nursery had a fantastic Aspirations Day today. They met Paramedics, given a tour of an ambulance and some had their pulses taken, looked at rocks and crystals through the eyes of a Geologist, watched a dog groomer at work and got chance to brush the dog, met Sam and Alex, a set of inspirational twins, who talked about their lives and there film making, Jerry the Councillor talked about his job, Miss Derbyshire finalist, spoke to the children about inclusion, inspirations, autism and what makes them special and Jess the drama teacher got the children involved in a drama workshop. Thank you to all that came to make this day special. There was also a beautician, marketing and the PSCO for the older children.

Year 6 have enjoyed a wonderful range of experiences today from a variety of professionals. We were visited by paramedics, a dog groomer, a geologist, Miss Derbyshire and a beautician.

This week Nursery have been learning that the past is something that has already happened, so we talked about how dinosaurs existed in the past but not now in the present. The children have been digging for dinosaur bones and making fossils with the playdough🦖🦕
