Jens Childminding Service - Ofsted Childminder in Marehay, Derbyshire

Since the setting closed on Thursday 27th July 2023 I have had a few enquiries so just wanted to update everyone where I’m working now.

I’m now the Early Years Manager at Jen's Xplorers Ltd running the Mini Xplorers Pre-school.

Well what a journey since I registered as a childminder in June 2007 - it’s been an incredible 16 years.

My little team are amazing 💜💜💜

The goodbyes have started today and it’s going to be a tough few days before the setting closes next Thursday 🥺

We can truely stand back and know that we have given all of the children over the years the absolute best start in their early years 😍

It is with a heavy heart I announce that on the 27th July 2023 my childminding setting will be closing. I have had such an amazing time and have had the huge privilege of looking after so many amazing children who I have grown so fond of over the years.

I appreciate everyone’s support over the years so much and without my families we wouldn’t be where we have got to today. We are definitely closing on a huge high after gaining our Outstanding grading last October 🌟

I apologise to the parents/carers who are on my waiting list but it feels the right time to try a new adventure.

This won’t be the last of Myself, Kim and Hannah. We have so many plans and can’t wait to see what the future holds 🥰

I can’t believe it’s been 16 years today since I opened my doors and started childminding xx

Following on from the child’s interests we have started to make our home corner into an ice cream shop 🍦🍭

A lovely summer walk this morning to visit the horses and just enjoying some nature 🌸

A lovely walk in the sunshine this morning on the greenway.
It’s a good job we put our puddle suits on and wore our wellies!
We watched the houses being built from the path and sat and enjoyed our snack sat on some steps. Found some mud and puddles and found another big stick

This is why I love my job 🥰 a message from a parent this morning after a lovely week learning about the coronation.
