Fun non contact classes for children aged 2-7 yrs using the multiple skills of rugby in a safe environment whilst developing basic core motor skills.
I am looking at running fun and engaging non contact sessions for children aged 2-7 years. There will be 3 classes. Children aged 2 and 3 with parent supervision. Children aged 4-5 with parent supervision and children aged 6-7. Sessions will be either 45 minutes or 1 hour and will cost around £5. Please let me know if this is of interest to you.
Some of you will remember that a few years ago I ran some holiday camps at the club. I have been asked by a number of parents to run them again and as such I am enquiring as to what interest there might be from others. To give you some background on me, I am employed by the RFU as a Rugby Coach and as such spend my days working in schools coaching rugby, running recruitment days for clubs, running Tag Festivals and much more. In the evenings I work with Leicester Tigers Developing Player Program, assist with DRFC senior training, coach DRFC U15's and I am also a Club Coach and Referee Developer.
The 3 day camp will be mainly rugby based and have a real emphasis on Teamwork. In the morning there will be lots of rugby games to help develop core skills (all non-contact) and then in the afternoon there will be games such as "capture the flag", "rugby golf", "assault course", "cross the swamp" as well as games incorporating other sports.
I will be assisted by a number of other coaches who are also players at the club. The cost of the 3 day course will be £70 or £25 per day. The day will start at 9am and end at 3.30pm. There will be an option for an early drop off and late pick-up at an extra charge.
The dates I am looking at are 2nd,3rd and 4th August and 30th August - 1st September.

Great footwork shown by one of the children taking part in the Commonwealth Games Day on Wednesday at Mackworth Sports Centre. Kandu Rugby delivered a rugby skills session to over 200 5-9 year old!
We are looking for children aged between 3 and 6 to take part in a trial run of our 'Little Rugga' sessions due to go live in July. The trial will be taking place on Saturday 21st June in the Sports Hall at Landau Forte College between 1 pm and 2 pm for 3 to 4 1/2 year old and 2 pm-3 pm for 4 1/2 to 6 year old.
