Eid Party 🎉
It’s been such a lovely turnout for our Eid party! The children had so much fun with all the wonderful activities, loved getting their mehndi done, decorating biscuits and Eid pictures, playing pin the tail on the donkey, dancing around with big smiles, and enjoying all our yummy treats and delicious food — thank you so much to all the parents who came along and joined in the fun, you helped make it such a warm, happy and memorable day for everyone! 🎉✨

SCHOOL READINESS! ✏️🏫

At Walk in the Park Nursery we help children get ready for school by focusing on the skills that really matter. Being ready is not just about what they know, but about how confident, independent and happy they feel.

We support them to do things for themselves, like dressing, using the toilet and washing hands, as well as learning to share, take turns and listen to others. These everyday abilities give children the confidence to settle in, make friends and enjoy new experiences.

Following the Best Start in Life guidance, we build these skills through play, gentle encouragement and warm relationships. Every child develops at their own pace, and we make sure they feel safe, capable and fully prepared for their next adventure.

Today at Walk in the Park Nursery, the children have been busy making delicious green cupcakes, linked to our core story We’re Going on a Bear Hunt! 🧁✨ We talked about how the green colour represents the ‘swishy, swashy grass’ from the book, and everyone had so much fun joining in.

They practised their maths skills by counting out ingredients, using spoons and cups to measure, and checking how many cases we needed, learning through every step of the process! It was wonderful to see them taking turns, helping each other, and getting hands-on with their learning. Such a tasty way to bring our favourite story to life! 🐻🌳

Today the children enjoyed music & movement, learning to play pianos and make different sounds. In the garden, they had fun on our obstacle course, balancing and climbing, and were brilliant at helping and supporting each other. 💛🎹

We're thrilled to invite our children to our Eid picnic! 🧺 ✨
It will take place in the park courts, if the weather isn't great, we'll move it indoors to the hall. We'd love for you to join us for a picnic along with lots of enjoyable activities. Please feel free to bring some traditional dishes to share! Come along on Thursday, 4th June from 12.30 to 2.

📢 Farewell & Best Wishes Cassie


Cassie has been with us since the very day our nursery first opened, right from the very start of our journey these past 6 months. We are grateful for all her hard work, care and contribution during her time with us.

She has built lovely connections with the children and families here, and both children and parents will certainly miss her warmth, care and familiar presence.

We wish her every happiness and success as she begins her new adventure. Thank you for everything you’ve done with us, Cassie. ❤️❤️❤️

Our children have been enjoying activities based on our core nursery story ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’. We have also been exploring mark making and lots of fun activities to develop hand‑eye coordination, building new skills and learning together 🐻🤎

Walk In The Park Nursery 💚

We're excited to introduce a toothbrushing programme for all our children at nursery. Each child will receive their own toothbrush and toothpaste to keep at nursery to encourage good oral hygiene practices!
