Phil Brown Music School

Phil Brown Music School Private tuition for Piano, Keyboard, Music Theory, in your home or in our premises. All ages, all levels welcome. DBS checked.

All ABRSM Exams entered or learn just for your own pleasure. I have taught for over 40 years in and around the Derby area and always achieve 100% pass rate in all my pupils ABRSM Examinations. In all this time I must have taught 100's of people, many of whom have gone on to perform in concert themselves and have become Music Teachers. Being a Concert Performer myself I am also able to teach pupils stagecraft which of course is essential if you are going to perform yourself. I have also helped many of my pupils through their GCSE Music Syllabus and still do as I also teach from Grades 1 - 8 and Diploma level Theory of Music with the ABRSM Examinations. Some of my pupils do not play Piano but come to me just for Theory and to pass the ABRSM Theory Grades and again achieve 100% pass rate. I am also a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP MCDST) and teach Music Technology with computers so if you want to connect your instrument to a computer and use Cubase Score or Logic Pro X or indeed any Music Software to record your performances or write music with a computer I also teach how to do this.
