Derby Ki Aikido Club Ki Aikido - Regular practice creates improved physical wellbeing and trains the mind. In Ki Aikido there is no aggression, tension or competition.

This leads to a healthy mental and spiritual disposition, improved confidence and calmness in daily life. Aikido means the way of life (DO) to harmonise and blend (AI) with the spirit of nature (KI). The art of Ki Aikido is a non-aggressive graceful art that engages your mind as well as your body. Ki Aikido develops calmness, positivity, coordination and self-confidence in your daily life. Classes are suitable for all genders and communities regardless of fitness levels, size, age or ability. All the stretching and exercises come naturally within the individual’s physical limits. Where appropriate, reasonable adjustments can be made to support individuals participation. Ki development explores how to harness the power of unifying mind and body through enjoyable exercise. Ki Aikido applies and extends this knowledge through techniques with a partner. These techniques simulate problems in daily life. The unique principles in this art are directly applicable to dealing with challenges that we may face in our daily lives. Adult classes are held:
Wednesdays 7.30 - 9.20 pm at The Modern Combatives and Self Defence Academy (MCSDA). Unit 4b, Masons Place Business Park, Nottingham Road, Chaddesden, Derby Derbyshire DE21 6YZ
