We're going on a bear hunt and we're not scared! Nursery and Reception will be putting their best foot forward tomorrow as we begin our new topic for this half-term 'We All Go Travelling By'. We'll be visiting different countries and using different kinds of transport to get us there. This week we are travelling around the United Kingdom on foot. It's 'Travelling Tuesdays' and Year 1 and 2 flew to the continent of Asia to explore south India with Mrs. Tom and Bangladesh with Mrs. Snowdon. The children made water lilies, ate daal and jalebis, dressed up, spoke and sang God's praises in Bangla and learnt lots about the beautiful countries of India and Bangladesh.

Our Emmanuel School Talent show was such a joyous evening in which we celebrated the amazing talents of our pupils in Years 1-6. The audience couldn't stop smiling at the children throughout! Thank you to our Head Teacher, Mr. Snowdon for his vision and hard work in making the evening happen and to Reach Conference Centre for hosting us on their fabulous stage. In their Biblical Studies lessons, Year 5 and 6 created booklets explaining why Jesus died for us. Their audience was Year 1 and 2 and so their brief was to create an eye-catching booklet with information that could be easily accessed and it had to be interactive. Year 1 and 2 voted for their favourite booklets and the creators won prizes. Here is some of their fabulous work.

It's Travelling Tuesdays and so south went Year 1 and 2 on their 'Around the World in 80 Days' trip to both the east and west sides of Africa to explore Uganda and Nigeria with Mr. Nyanzi and Mrs. Olatujayan.
