After nearly 20 years as Gracie Barra Derby we have decided to take it to the next level, launching Allegiance Jiu Jitsu Academy offering Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Mixed Martial Arts, Self-Defence Fitness classes, Women's Only classes. Together we rise! Patrick Martin is celebrating his 25th year, running martial arts classes in Derby. Patrick has been involved with martial arts for over 35 years. Recently we have opened our new academy, a fantastic facility with a large matted area, punch bags, MMA Cage, hot drinks area, changing facilities & free parking.

Some of our MMA team members entered the this weekend. It was a brilliantly run event, with excellent refereeing and athlete safety clearly the top priority throughout. A huge thank you to for being fantastic hosts and providing such a great environment for everyone involved.
Our team performed exceptionally well, showcasing great skill, composure, and quality in every match. We’re incredibly proud of all of them for stepping up, testing themselves, and representing the academy so well.

What a huge weekend for Allegiance…
Our junior team delivered an incredible performance at the British Open, securing an outstanding 3rd place overall as a team.
In MMA action, we had 4 fights with 3 strong wins and 1 no contest following an accidental knee to the eye. Unfortunately, Morgan didn’t get to fight after his opponent withdrew on the morning of the fight.
On Sunday, Michael and Fin represented the adult team at the British Open, both bringing home gold medals.
And to top it off, our wrestling coach also stepped onto the mat at British Wrestling Championship and claimed gold.
