Last night, we had the pleasure of welcoming Ru from Hands and Sounds, an independent Speech and Language Therapist.

Ru spent the evening supporting our nursery team by sharing her knowledge and expertise in early years communication and language development. It was a valuable session, helping us to further develop our understanding and strengthen the support we provide for every child's communication journey.

A huge thank you to Ru for such an informative and inspiring evening!

These lovely ladies went to so much hard work with planning and creating an amazing garden party day.

The nursery was buzzing with excitement last week as news of our latest arrivals passed round the nursery. The children were very happy to welcome our new baby boys. 🐐

The nursery councillors quickly assembled together to discuss options for the new names for our baby Pygmy’s. A very important job to be done!

They decided everyone should be involved and so chose a few options for each (of course sticking to our chocolate and biscuit theme!) and have placed them in the nursery reception areas for all children to have chance to vote!

We will keep you posted with updates once the voting closes later this week!

Lovely feedback today received from our training provider. This time it is our lovely Miss Katie.

"I'm really pleased with the progress she is making. She is currently 60% through the programme, which is fantastic considering how long she has been on programme. This is a great achievement.
Overall, I'm really happy with the progress she is making and the commitment she is showing towards her qualification."

A very special visit to Maggie's! 👑

We recently welcomed Christian Guy, Executive Director at The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, which champions the importance of a child's earliest years.

The Centre for Early Childhood, part of The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, was established by The Princess of Wales to raise awareness of the critical importance of a child’s earliest years. Christian came to see what leading early years provision looks like in practice and to learn more about our values-led curriculum.

Margaret Mason OBE, Laura Wildin and Cathy Griffin gave Christian a tour of the nursery and Forest School, before sitting down to talk about best practice, the early years sector and our free parent and child classes for local families in our Community Rooms.

Christian Guy, Executive Director at the Centre for Early Childhood, told us he was "blown away not just by the environment and facilities, but by the staff and the loving culture" at Maggie's. ❤️

We're so proud of our team, our children and our families, and we hope this is the start of a lasting relationship.
