University of Derby Geological Society

We are excited to announce our collaboration with in our new sports day event!

Our members will be split up into teams as they compete in dodgeball, tug of war, darts, and pool to earn points. Members will be able to buddy up with their friends and compete for our grand prize!
Teams with the highest points across all sports will win 🎉

We shall begin the games in to compete at dodgeball and tug of war before moving down to the Jonty Farmer for darts and pool. Afterward we shall relax and celebrate the evening with some drinks ❤️

This event is split across two time slots and two locations:

Session 1: Sports hall, inside the University of Derby Sports Centre, Kedleston Rd Campus.

Between 4 - 5.30 PM

Session 2: Jonty Farmer, Kedleston Road, Derby, DE22 1FT

Between 6 - 7.30PM

We are excited to announce our final guest lecture of the year! Joining us will be Dr. Roger Suthren, as he explores the various geological aspects of our environment used to produce different flavourful profiles of wine.

We shall be providing wines from these different environments for our members to taste 🍷
For non-drinkers, non-alcoholic wine shall be provided!

This talk will be a chance for our members to relax and network with new people for the evening as we come to the end of the semester 😊

Non-members will have a entry fee of £5 to help contribute to the wine.
