A huge to our amazing staff! 🍰☕

A massive thank you to everyone who baked, bought, ate and donated at our Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning. We raised an incredible £150 in under an hour for this fantastic charity! 💚

A special mention goes to Ms Hanson, whose spectacular book cake not only impressed everyone in attendance but also earned her the Star Baker Wooden Spoon Award! 🏆📚🎂

Ms Backhouse was particularly inspired, with rumours already circulating that it may have provided the perfect title for the next book on her writing list! ✍️📖

Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make the morning such a success. 💚

Throughout this term, pupils are being trained on how to be effective learners, which looks at everything from paying attention, being resilient, and re-drafting work. 😃

We would like to remind you about our upcoming Year 11 Information Session on Wednesday!

The same session will be delivered at:
4:00pm - 4:45pm
5:00pm - 5:45pm

Both sessions will cover the same information, so you only need to attend one.

The session will provide important information and guidance to support your child throughout their Year 11 studies and preparation for examinations.
We look forward to seeing you there.

When was the last time your child did something for the first time?

This year, Cadets at CODA achieved 450+ nationally recognised qualifications — from First Aid and Cyber Security to Leadership and Adventure Training.

But it’s not just about the qualifications. It’s about confidence, resilience, teamwork, new challenges and experiences they’ll remember.

The City of Derby Academy CCF is recruiting NOW!

If your child is in Year 8 and would like to begin their Cadet journey, they can collect a joining letter from their Year Team now.
