The SENAD Group provide locally based specialist education, care and community support services for the most complex, vulnerable and hard to place young people and adults. For the past ten years the SENAD Group has operated schools in the East and West Midlands and draw students from across the United Kingdom and further afield. As well as special educational needs schools, the SENAD Group also have experience operating transition homes and adult residential homes for school leavers, as well as delivering community based support packages for independent living.

We're recruiting 2x SEN Teachers to join our team at Alderwasley Hall School & Sixth Form, one of the UK's largest specialist schools supporting young people with autism and speech and language disorders. Following an Outstanding rating in all areas from Ofsted in July 2025, we continue to champion a culture of reflection and improvement across the school.

As part of our continued growth, we're expanding our teaching team and welcome applications from teachers with experience in either SEND or mainstream education. You'll join a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team with access to ongoing training and professional development. We're particularly interested in hearing from teachers with experience in English, Maths, Science, Computing or Humanities.

Congratulations to our electrician apprentice Tyler, who has been recognised as Apprentice of the Year at JTL's Nottingham Centre.
Throughout his time with SENAD, Tyler has continued to develop his skills as an apprentice electrician, gaining valuable hands-on experience while working alongside colleagues across our services. His contributions and willingness to learn have made him a valued member of the team.

Reflecting on the award, Tyler said:

“I chose the apprenticeship because I wanted to build a proper career in the electrical industry while gaining practical experience alongside the qualifications. Since starting, I’ve developed a much better understanding of electrical installation, testing and fault finding, as well as becoming more confident working independently and solving problems on site.

The apprenticeship has helped me develop professionally too. I’ve been given more responsibility as I’ve progressed, and I feel much more confident in my abilities than when I started. I’m looking forward to continuing to build my knowledge and qualifications and seeing where the electrical industry takes me.”

Congratulations to everyone at Bladon House School on the positive outcomes achieved in the latest Ofsted report, with the school attaining a Strong Standard in four areas and the Expected Standard in the remaining three areas.

The report noted the school's nurturing and supportive approach and how this helps young people we support engage enthusiastically in lessons and take pride in their work.

Through personalised learning, therapeutic support and a wide range of opportunities both in and beyond the classroom, young people are encouraged to build independence, explore their interests and develop new skills.
From developing communication and life skills to preparing for further learning and adulthood, every step forward is recognised and celebrated.

We're thrilled to share that Edgewood School has been named a finalist in the SEND School of the Year category of the Northamptonshire Education Awards (NEA).

The NEA celebrates schools that put children and young people at the centre of everything they do, creating opportunities for them to grow, learn and achieve their potential through specialist support and outstanding practice.
To see our school recognised amongst the finalists acknowledges the commitment shown every day by our colleagues, as well as the determination, progress and achievements of the young people who make our school community so special.

We're looking forward to the awards ceremony at the beginning of December, which celebrates the incredible work happening across education in Northamptonshire.
