Great start to the week at The Gathering Place! 😊

A huge well done to our cooking and serving team. The Japonese inspired food looked fantastic and tasted even better! 🍔🍽️

Our customers also took part in a football-themed art challenge, decorating football shapes with colourful patterns. The finished pieces have been turned into a beautiful mobile that now hangs proudly in our gathering room ⚽🎨

Upstairs, creativity continued with a bead art session led by our student Molly. Some of the finished pieces have already been framed, with more being prepared for our future market stall. 🖼️✨

Another busy and productive day at Feel Alive Hub CIC! 🎉

Cameron and Jamie have finished building the shed, and it's looking fantastic. We now have plenty of much-needed outdoor storage space. 🛠️👏

Meanwhile, tins have been painted and sprayed ready for some exciting upcoming art projects, and we can't wait to see the finished creations. 🎨✨

We ended the day with a concert at St Mary's Catholic School, helping to raise money at their annual Summer Fair. It was a wonderful event with a great turnout, a lovely atmosphere, and the perfect way to finish the day. 🎶☀️

A big thank you to everyone involved and to the school for inviting us again this year 😊

The day started with a high-energy exercise session 💪 before some of the lads took on the challenge of building a shed 🔨

The afternoon saw our World Cup 2026 Football Stadium Challenge ⚽️ led by our new volunteer Jess and Sandra, who is on placement from Nottingham College. Teams designed and built their own football stadiums, and we were incredibly impressed by both the creativity on display and the confidence shown by Jess and Sandra in leading the activity. 👏

After a close vote, Sandra's team took the win! 🏆 Congratulations to Daniela and Louise, who won the prize of a trip to the hairdressers for a wash and blow dry. 💇‍♀️✨

🎨✨ Another busy, creative and productive day ✨🎭

This morning, our art group finished their beautiful clay creations, and we are so impressed with the results. Every piece is unique and they all look fantastic! 🏺🎨👏

🖼️ In the afternoon, another group created stunning leaf prints, which we have framed and displayed. They look absolutely beautiful 🌿

There are plans for some of these creations to be available for sale in the future, so watch this space! 👀💚

🎭🔨 Meanwhile, preparations continued for our upcoming production of 'Down on Avenue 2.' The sound of the jigsaw could be heard throughout the day as props and scenery were cut, built and assembled for the show. 🏠⚙️🎬

⭐ A special thank you to Dave (Cameron's dad), who once again generously gave up his time and shared his skills to help us build the set. We really couldn't do it without him, and we're incredibly grateful for all his support. 🙏👏💙

😊 From art and creativity to set building and teamwork, it was one of those days where everyone was busy, groups were swapping around, and lots was happening all at once—but by the end of the day we had achieved so much and had a lot of fun along the way. ❤️ Well done everyone! ❤️ :::

⚽🏆 WORLD CUP 2026 KICK-OFF! 🏆⚽

This Monday at The Gathering Place, we're getting into the football spirit as we kick off our World Cup 2026 celebrations! 🎉

On the menu, we'll be serving a delicious American-style burger with crinkle-cut crisps and coleslaw, followed by the ever-popular banana split! 🍔🍌🍨

There will also be the chance to join our World Cup sweepstake and be in with a chance of winning the jackpot 💷(Just bring £1 if you'd like to enter) ⚽️🏅

As always, the session is completely FREE to attend and EVERYONE is welcome so come along, enjoy some great food, chat about football, make friends and join in the fun! ⚽😊

Here at Feel Alive Hub, mental health, wellbeing and self-awareness are always at the heart of what we do 💯

Over the last eight weeks, we have been lucky enough to have Molly, a student from University of Derby join our team on placement. Molly has been delivering weekly art therapy sessions to some of our members, who have thoroughly enjoyed exploring their creativity and expressing themselves through art 🎨🖼🏺🎶

Last night we had the pleasure of attending an exhibition showcasing the work of Molly and her fellow students as they near the completion of their degrees. It was a wonderful evening, filled with creativity, talent and inspiration 👩🏽‍🎓🧑‍🎓

We are incredibly proud of Molly and all that she has achieved. In fact, we're hoping to display some of her work at the Hub so you can enjoy seeing it too 😊
