STEPS Derby

The adults enjoyed a trip to Nottingham yesterday to see Barnum at Nottingham Playhouse. They travelled by bus to Nottingham and stopped off at some shops, where they used their money-handling skills to buy some treats.

The show was fantastic, and everyone really enjoyed the atmosphere and experience of the day.

Today some of our adults met up with our Allestree group and enjoyed a lovely morning at the Mickleover Spa 💆‍♂️💆‍♀️👙🩳🏊‍♀️

We had a great time, our favourite was the whirlpool bath!! We then went to outside to the outdoor seating and enjoyed our pack lunches. A time was had! 💚

Today we took a trip to allenton market and to the shops, some of the adults treated to them selfs to a braclet and a teddy, then had an afternoon at dance where the adults got to freestyle and chose their own music to dance too 💃 🛍

The Allestree group went for a walk to Park Farm, enjoying the lovely weather and looking around the shops. After lunch, we finished the flower pots we had prepped yesterday. The girls really enjoyed getting creative and were very proud of their finished pots.

Yesterday, we all had the best time watching Mamma Mia! at the Hippodrome in Birmingham 🎭✨ We stopped off to pick up some snacks and treats before heading in for the show.

The adults absolutely loved it! There were smiles all around, lots of singing, dancing along and enjoying every second of a brilliant performance 💃😊 We love to see just how much joy these shows bring.

Before heading home, some of the adults treated themselves to a few extra goodies from the merch stand to round off a brilliant day 💛

A lovely walk in Allestree woods this morning with Dylan Brittany Lauren and Sophie then back to steps for homemade tuna pasta and flower crafts ready for an activity tomorrow 🌸💐

StepsDerby, who do so much to help young people with learning difficulties achieve the best possible life outcomes, are opening their doors and offering tea, coffee and cakes (for a small price).

Today we decided to take a walk to the local shops before it got to hot, then took full advantage of the Aircon and had a craft afternoon, followed by abit of baking and end of day quiz!
