RelyOn Develop

Develop Training is the UK's leading accredited provider of Compliance, Technical and Safety training. Part of RelyOn. Just think about it for a moment.

We all like to enjoy a certain quality of life. Running water, electricity, warmth... we take these things for granted as we go about our daily lives, many of us paying no mind to the sheer magnitude of national infrastructure required to make these things such a given. Indeed, often the first time we notice them is when something goes wrong - a power cut, the water being stopped, or roadworks slowing us down when we're in a hurry. For clean running water, we need water treatment, wastewater treatment, a functional sewer network, pumping stations, outstations, control centres and a whole host of operatives, supervisors and managers working across everything from construction to maintenance. That's a lot of skilled people up and down the country, and that's just the water industry. Now consider the same for electricity, gas and healthcare. The fact is, we NEED many, many skilled workers to keep our water running, our homes and workplaces warm, and our lights on. At Develop Training, we believe that if something is worth doing, it's worth doing well. And when it's something as crucial as our national infrastructure, it's doubly important. We support our critical infrastructure through an innovative approach to learning, and by holding ourselves accountable to the high standards set out by our Code of Practice. Our training courses deliver consistent, quality results across a wide spectrum of sectors, with delegates benefiting from an blended mix of classroom, online and practical 'hands-on' learning. Pre-course assessment and post-learning reinforcement ensures long term learning return, and provides tangible return of investment for our clients. Develop Training: Learn it for life

A few weeks ago, our York Centre Manager, Carrie, retired after nearly 7 years with the RelyOn Develop team.

Carrie was a popular face around our York centre, especially with regular delegates and staff from Northern Gas Networks, she always ensured the York centre was running smoothly. She will be sorely missed by all of us, however we would like to wish her all the best as she enjoys her retirement.

Happy Retirement Carrie!

Today we say goodbye to a former colleague, Eric Tyson, who worked on the team for 16 years, as his funeral takes place near his home in Yorkshire.

Eric was apart of the York centre family as a low voltage trainer before moving to work for as a quality assurer. Eric was a proud military man, having served in the Royal Engineers across the UK, he then moved to a facilities management company and then finally to Develop Training. He was a popular character around the centre, known for his sense of humour and love of cracking jokes.

To pay tribute to Eric, we have named the low voltage workshop at York centre 'The Eric Tyson Electrical Workshop' as well as dedicating a bench and tree to him in our outdoor area.

Eric will be sorely missed by all at RelyOn Develop and we extend our condolences to his family and friends at this time.
